I stayed for four nights to watch a Padres game. The room quality and service were excellent and well worth the price.

On the second night, the neighboring room was extremely noisy past midnight. I called the front desk, and they promptly addressed the issue, restoring peace. I truly appreciate their quick response.

The only downside was that the front desk didn’t have a nail clipper available when I needed one.

I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to San Diego.

The room and hygiene are average, the location is good, but the service is very poor. The front desk clerk seemed to owe her millions, and there was no sense of welcome. Especially at night, there was only someone answering the phone: Since there was only a very thin blanket in the room and it was quite cold at night, I wanted to add a blanket. I made 3 calls and waited for more than 20 minutes before it was delivered. I will not go there again.

The location of the hotel is very convenient on Broadway. The hotel rooms are served 24 hours a day, and there are free fruits including oranges and apples at the front desk. It's too late. Regular cleaning, the attitude of the front desk is okay, but there is no money to change. The room is relatively small, and the three-star hotel is a bit expensive for this fare.

My wife and I loved this hotel for a weekend getaway, and we hope to come again. Historic Pickwick Hotel was completely gutted and renamed the Sofia a decade ago. Fantastic eclectic decor, charming character, good use of room space. Kind, helpful staff. Great location--close to water, restaurants, trolley stop, baseball stadium. A real gem!

Very professional staff and GREAT rooms. When checking in with baby the staff looked to see what room would accommodate a pack n play. Clean for baby to get around in.thanks so much.

Sofia Hotel, when the say Boutique and historical they mean old and small. Quality is AMAZING, hotel could not be cleaner, and the decore is world class. But the rooms are smaller then ones in Japan hotels, and most rooms have a view of a brick wall. If you want high quality and location then you could not do better. If you plan on spending any time in the room just be prepared, it's small.

One of my favorites. Red trolley rocks every time. Food is good to great depending on what you order. Head down after 5 pm and it gets a bit busy. Seating at the entrance is a bit better than the back near the bathroom and staff tables. Again... red trolley rocks.

Great beer and delicious food! The duck fat pretzel bites were wonderful. Service was also excellent and the outdoor seating was lovely. The bathrooms were blasting cold air, that is my only complaint, but not a deal breaker in the slightest.

This is a brewery, their beer selection is very nice. Great place to bring a group of friends or even romantic enough to take a date. Decor seems a little dated to me. But the food and beer is delicious portions are a little small. Happy hour is nice. Overall you would have a good time by visiting this place

Very calm mall, which is good! Nice atmosphere, no random people walking around. Good stores too. The bathrooms are very clean and so are the food courts. Love the decorations too, love the huge chess game. The levels are a bit confusing, but they do have maps all around (:

I love this place! Every time I go back to San Diego I visit Horton Plaza. It's has great shopping, good food and lots of fun things to do! Plus you are in downtown San Diego which is awesome in its own right. You can park and spend hours there.. I'm not sure if it's still there but there is an amazing noodle spot at Horton Plaza. Highly recommend!

This Westfield Horton Plaza s the only shopping center anywhere near downtown San Diego. The only reason this Plaza gets four stars instead of two is because of the Macy's. I spend many days in San Diego and this Macy's is the only place to shop for whatever you need while downtown....yes I do forget pack some things and need to do a quick shopping run from time to time. If you are in town for tourism or business the Macy's is your shopping savior.

The plaza itself is very nicely remolded and is adjacent to the Westin and across the street from the U.S. Grant Hotel. The plaza also has a movie theater.

Very nice hotel with an attentive staff. Room was great, heated outdoor pool and hot tub were wonderful after a nice day of sit-seeing. The restaurant, however, left a lot to be desired. It does not meet the quality of the hotel itself. Food was overpriced and less than tasty. Sirloin steak was mostly fat, veggies were crawling in spice and salt, but soup as actually a bit better than what one can heat up from a can. My advice: stay in this lovely, well situated, comfortable hotel, but eat in any of the excellent nearby restaurants and don't eat at the hotel.

Horton Plaza is the heart of Downtown San Diego with some stores and restaurants. This is one less busy shopping mall with a nearby hotels in the area. Now with the Horton Plaza Park, it enhances and beautifies the area. It is great for locals and tourists for shopping, entertainment, and fun. It has been troublesome in the mall and park with the homeless.
