Extended Stay America Suites - San Diego - Hotel Circle in San Diego

We are here for two nights for my son's L4 tennis tournament. We checked in around 1AM in the night and the front desk guy asked me for parking fee which is not mentioned anywhere in my booking. Not it was mentioned in the site as well. He showed me under amenities that I have to pay $15 it seems per night. When I asked, is this the right way to take money, and he is like not at all but I can not do anything.

We could not even sleep for a second because our top floor people were jumping, running and not sure what else they were doing but making a lot of noise. We were tried so dont want to go and fight again for that in the middle of the night. Morning when I spoke to the front desk lady, She is like we can not do anything in the day time but if that is going to happen in the evening, we can send the security.

Basically its one of the worst experience i have ever had with extended stay America. I love to stay in extended stay but I would recommend people to read the reviews before booking in this hotel. Worst place to stay

Company put us up here while my guys were to do a job. There is not a visible sign where the lobby is, which would be helpful. We arrived early and was told that the room wasn't clean, but they would call when it was; they didn't. When my husband went to check in at 4 the person let it slip that it'd been ready for 3 hours, she had no response when asked why we weren't called. They charged us $5 per parking space, and almost $260 pet fee, which we thought was outrageous. Our room, which was supposed to be non-smoking but had a few burns in the carpet and the counter tops had several burn spots as well. And the linoleum was coming up in one spot. The shower head was leaking, spraying water all over the wall, we reported it twice and no one ever came to fix it. The refrigerator went out and it took them a day and a half to do anything. They said they came up to the room and no one was there, I was there the entire time, which I told them but there was a pet sign on the door so.... We were unfortunate enough to have some very disruptive neighbors that decided to fight until 2 or 3 in the morning, several nights in a roll. Along with several kids that were, it seemed just left to run the halls. Area was very busy, all or a lot of the hotels all in that one area: hence the name of the road. Bums/homeless were all over the area, definitely didn't feel save leaving our equipment there.  Their breakfast consisted of instant oatmeal and coffee which they wouldn't put out until 5:30/6 am. This was not our 1st extended stay but most definitely our worse.

I checked in, went to our room and it was absolutely untouched by staff. The prior occupants garbage was in the sink, on the counter. Trash cans filled with garbage, used razors in the bathtub, fecal residue stained the toilet bowls, used towels on the floor. I’ve never been so disgusted by a hotel. I couldn’t take it, my wife and I had to leave. The employee in the lobby had mentioned how under staffed they were and that he was the only person working at the time. My problem was NOT going to be resolved in a timely manner, I asked for a refund. My trip was ruined. It was late and I was not going to try to find another hotel. I am very angry but I wouldn’t take it out on the employee of course. This is abysmal management who could not supply adequate staff to support quality and cleanliness to customers. Filth, unhygienic and no care is how I will now associate Extended Stay America. All I have to show for even attempting to do business with Extended Stay America is a ruined vacation.

This hotel would make me never stay at an extended stay America again. The facilities were filthy, the parking lot had bums in it. When we talk about my room, there was an old refrigerator that every hour would turn on like a motor and be so loud. It woke me up all night long. The bed was on stilts, so you have no comfort and squeaked every time I moved, the bathroom towels were disgusting with a smell and were crusty and there was no shampoo or any supplies to cook with. Everything just seemed old with the exception of new cheap, fake wood flooring.
When I got there, I went to the front desk and asked if I can get some ice and she said I was out of luck. There was ice trays in the freezer that I would have to wait hours to freeze. When I went to use the ice trays, they were dirty, and had not been cleaned. Here I would love to clean them, but there was no dish soap to clean. In summary, I’ve never been at a worse facility in my life, and cannot believe that cost money to stay in.

Should have read the reviews before booking. I booked the room a week in advance only to arrive there & be told that they were overbooked. We were 3 hours away from home & everything nearby was booked. I was still somehow charged, which is ridiculous as this was not my fault. Seems like a scam hotel to me. Will be taking them to small claims.

Had two confirmed reservations that were made over a month ago. At one o'clock in the afternoon on day of check-in, I received a call from the hotel advising no rooms available. Apologized but nothing able to be done. Created a major stress filled scramble to get replacement rooms. As a very popular event going on in the city this past weekend, not easy to do. Extended Stay, you can do much better!!

The black man on the desk that doesn’t have a name tag is very very unprofessional bad attitude and he have anger issues I walked in he kept sayin it will be few minutes for 30 minutes the system is down after 10 minutes I asked how long more and he’s like when the system is up it might take a while u can have a seat and when I asked him where’s the seats he started looking around and then he’s like there a bench out side the door doesn’t close right the window wouldn’t close the room smells very bad horrible and honestly it’s not worth nothing a night worst hotel that I been in all my life unprofessional all around
