Recently renovated in 2014 Wyndham San Diego Bayside offers rooms with beautiful downtown skyline and Pacific bay views as well as three onsite restaurants. Whether you are visiting for a convention family vacation or a romantic weekend escape our hotel provides premium services and amenities for your perfect retreat or busy travel schedule.
Wyndham San Diego Bayside is centrally located with easy access to downtown attractions SeaWorld San Diego and our world famous beaches. We also have a daily complimentary shuttle service to San Diego International Airport Seaport Village Horton Plaza in the Gaslamp District and the San Diego Zoo. On site amenities include a heated outdoor pool fully equipped fitness center 24-hour business center and room service. Dine at one of our three restaurants ranging from quick service at Hazelwoods Deli to fine dining at Ruths Chris Steakhouse. For our business travelers our meeting space includes boardrooms exhibit space and reception space. All guest rooms feature complimentary wireless internet and a balcony.

My co-workers and I found that the bathrooms had a weird smell. The rooms were plain. Nothing to hype about. Balcony rooms available, some facing the bay or city. I woke up and opened my shade to a huge cruise ship, pointed right at me. I was in Tower 3. So make sure you request what side you want to be in if you have a preference. They do have good security. To get to some rooms you have to go outside to a different building (towers) and you need a key card to get in and use the elevator. Because you are literally outside when you're going to your room.
And oh my, Wonderful Restaurants and Seafood everywhere. A pescatarian's or seafood lover's dream. They got steakhouses too. lol
Our room on the 9th floor of Building 2 had a nice ocean view, and the beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, the room smelled like sewage, and the toilet constantly leaked, which was likely the cause. Parking was $50 per day, which felt excessive. Overall, some positives, but several drawbacks made the stay frustrating.
As far as the hotel itself. Great location, clean but is a tad outdated, but I didn’t really care as I was just sleeping there. We had a balcony and it’s kind of scary. I sat on it one time and it felt like it was leaning. If you wanted to you could jump from one balcony to the next, they are that close together!! So if you get a balcony make sure to lock your screen, you might have visitors.
The staff here is supper amazing and friendly. Never had any issues with them at all 💗
