Hayes Mansion, San Jose - Curio Collection by Hilton in San Jose

The property itself is gorgeous. I enjoyed some extra amenities like the hot tub and on-site restaurant. Unfortunately, during our stay this week the hotel was extremely understaffed to the point where attempting to get basic needs like a cleaning or extra towels was a horribly long process. Also, during our check out day housekeeping entered our room twice very early in the morning and waked us up without apologizing or an explanation. I tried to contact the front desk multiple times but no-one picked up the phone and no-one was available physically at the front either. The restaurant was also very understaffed to the point the busboy had to take our order. It’s unfortunate because otherwise we really enjoyed the suite itself - the bedding was very comfortable and the room boasts two large televisions, a nice velvet couch, and a bath.
