I had an amazing stay at JW Marriott Tampa Water Street. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt upscale but still welcoming. The lobby is beautifully designed and gives you that “luxury vacation” feeling right away. The room was spotless, modern, and super comfortable. The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud, and the floor-to-ceiling windows gave an incredible view of downtown Tampa and the water. Everything was well thought out, from the lighting to the bathroom setup.
One of the best parts is the location. Being right in the Water Street Tampa district means you’re steps away from great restaurants, bars, and the Riverwalk. It made the whole trip feel easy and fun without needing to drive everywhere. The pool area was another highlight—relaxing, clean, and perfect for unwinding. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and professional, always willing to help.Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations. If you’re visiting Tampa and want something modern, convenient, and a little luxurious, this is definitely the place to stay. I would 100% come back.

Room was clean and quiet. Staff were friendly. Located on river walk where plenty of places to eat. Restuarants and bars in hotel were great.

Room was ok mold and hair in shower, bathroom door doesn’t close all the way. Moldy vent in bath area( no fan in bathroom )No trashbags in the trash cans and patio was dirty. Terrible pillows! Needs to be upgraded .

The toilet in the room was broken, the hotel double checked in and gave the room card to a stranger, and someone jumped off the building during the stay

The first stop when arriving in this city is the hotel in the center of the airport. I watched the city's promotional video introducing this hotel. It is colorful and exciting. The airport is small and cute, the design is tasteful and beautiful. The hotel is directly connected to the airport, which is convenient. The lobby is simple. There are no tennis courts where we originally planned to play, the swimming pool is being repaired, and the water park is fenced off. The room has a sense of age. High-priced breakfast, not the buffet in the picture, super simple take-out breakfast. No water provided. Pictures and information are truly for reference only. The hotel's super high price is really too high.

The towels in the bathroom are old and thin, but they are still being used. In addition, according to the breakfast price of 29 US dollars per person, if two people dine for one breakfast, more than 100 US dollars will be deducted for two people. Is this a mistake? When checking out, the front desk did not take the initiative to issue a receipt. Because I needed a receipt when I picked up the car, I had to reissue it.

This is the life...bring your jet ski's (or extra cash to rent them from Frenchy's Jet ski & boats) because you can't resist the awesome blue of the Gulf. Great atmosphere, nice view, lots of fun!

Fantastic new hotel with a lovely view. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. There 1,000 attendees during the day but so spacious you wouldn't know. The Gala had 750 and the banquet was great. The food was delicious except for the chicken. It was dry but tasty. The room was luxurious!

This was our first time at this restaurant for Christmas dinner. What a disappointment! The fish was dry, a lot of items not labeled and not replenished. The service was terrible as you could not get the attention of the service people. I would comment on a positive that the vegetables were good and prime rib was decent. It was overpriced for what it was. Would not recommend this restaurant.

We were here for thanksgiving dinner. We were told they would be serving traditional thanksgiving food. Service was horrible. Had to continually ask for water glasses to be filled and shortly after we got there we were told they were out of turkey!! How can you have an all you can eat buffet on Thanksgiving and run out of turkey?!?!?!? Makes no sense. They were very slow to stock the buffet each time we went up several of the items would be empty. Food was mediocre at best. For $40/person I expected much more. To add insult to injury they charged automatic 18% gratuity. They didn’t earn 10% and I am usually someone who cuts people slack and unless I get really bad service I tip at 20% + standard practice. Very disappointing evening.
