The room was clean and the service was attentive.

Compared to other hotels on Kanaapli Beach, and even the beaches of western Maui, the Hyatt Resort's beach was the worst—too many pebbles, poor water quality, and quite disappointing. The hotel pool was also crowded and a bit chaotic, a conclusion reached after comparing it to nearby hotels. Breakfast was okay, but the receptionist, Manner, was quite surprised when we went to the hotel's steakhouse...

The Hyatt Resort I stayed at this time was not very nice. The hotel facilities were old and the garden was still under repair and in a mess. The restaurant was very dirty, flies were flying around the room and there was no management. The breakfast was limited in variety and the service was very poor. I had to wait 20-30 minutes in line for breakfast every day. The high price was really not worth it

It’s a nice resort in a great location, however plenty of hidden fees, we paid for breakfast which wasn’t anything special, scrambled eggs from powder, coffee was pretty bad and weak and you had to pay extra which we only learned about when we paid 160$ for breakfast. Lack of healthy food and not suited for people who eat healthy unprocessed food. I really liked the towel service, it was very convenient...

If you are traveling to Maui, this is a great place to spend some time. There are several pools, which is nice, and you can work out at the gym. There is a golf course nearby, and there is also a driving range, so you can practice a little bit.

We really enjoyed our family vacation here. It is about a 10 minute walk to Black rock where you can swim with turtles. The walk is easy and there is plenty of places to eat and drink along the way. The pool and facilities at the Hyatt are really nice. The animals including the birds are a nice touch and fun for kids.

I chose this hotel after deliberating among several near Black Rock, and the pool was large and excellent. There were also shopping streets and restaurants nearby, making dining convenient. I really want to go back to Hawaii... I'm leaving with fond memories. 💗

Such a beautiful property, a little on the higher end but if you want to have a really good vibe it’s worth every penny. Right next to whalers market, beautiful beaches next to it. The front desk receptionist was very upset. Although I requested to arrange twin beds in two rooms more than two months in advance, Ctrip obviously did not do its job well. Three generations of grandparents and grandchildren came out for vacation, but they only arranged two large beds. How could people sleep? Poolarea is more 5* than 4*, 2 restaurants very nice and very good food, nice bar, good breakfast at starbucks, beach very beautiful no rocks just sand and waves and save swimming no currents, we saw turtels and manta rays, very friendly staff

We have been going to this resort for years and every year we love it! The service is impeccable from the moment you step into the lobby. The rooms are a good size and very clean. The property is perfectly situated on the Kaanapaali beach, giving you easy access to the beach. The resort is also a close drive to nearby Lahaina. We always enjoy our stay at Marriott. We stayed in a newly renovated 1 bedroom in the lanai tower. It was very good. Everything in the unit was first class , except for the small fridge with no ice maker. The other crazy thing was there is no stove or hot plate to cook with. I’m afraid the aloha spirit is missing at the Maui ocean club. All the little things that made it once special either is now gone or you need to pay extra for. Fees and costs go up while service and the aloha spirit go down. The beach walk food is mediocre, walk way always washed out, pool side entertainment very limited and construction noise replaced the sound of ocean waves. Poor Lahaina town...

I booked a 5 night stay here using my Bonvoy points. I was choosing between here and the Sheraton Maui Resort (Black Rock) but went with the Maui Ocean Club as they don't charge resort fees and their daily parking was cheaper. Those 2 things alone saved me a few hundred dollars. At one point, the point redemption differential between the 2 properties was about 25k points higher here vs the Sheraton...

It was such a beautiful hotel with Black Rock Beach right in front. You can see turtles at Black Rock Beach.. Every evening, there is beautiful music and sunset.

I've been here many times, and it's still wonderful! However, it's a shame that the counter for Japanese people that used to be there is no longer there, but I still think this is the No. 1 hotel on Maui. There are very few photos of the hotel, but they are of the club lounge or the restaurant next to the golf course.

I am an original timeshare owner at this resort. I have been an owner since 2001 and have seen many changes over the years. Loved the free green trolley to get around nearby resorts and the beach. The bungalow was very spacious for 4 single girls with 3 bathrooms it was ideal and even a decent sized kitchen even though we didn't really use it. Stayed here for a few days for a holiday. The weather was beautiful, the locals say it one of their driest Autumn season. The location was superb. I came here with my wife and daughter. The room was unexpectedly large and I could play hide-and-seek in it. The facilities are complete and the hotel is very convenient to the nearby shopping street. I highly recommend it.

We stayed at the Whaler through Aston and had a very enjoyable stay! We had a studio that was spacious and perfect for our 4 day stay. Great location with beautiful views, lots of restaurants in walking distance, and plenty of shops. Would definitely recommend, especially if you like having space and preparing some of your own food.

Everything was great! We were greeted with a warm welcome in front of the office soon as we got out of our car. Condo was excellent and in a good location. Very clean. The welcome basket was much appreciated. The activities person was very helpful. Beach and view were great.

Room was in good condition, but the pool nearest this part of the complex was closed for repair (without any prior warning). Also, our front desk worker that checked is in was very unfriendly.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cleaning staff were excellent. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were too hard. Most of all my husband and I enjoyed being able to walk so easily to many places. Great place to take a vacation. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are newly updated. The appliances are updated. The rooms are very nice. The restaurants on property have a good selection to choose from and reasonable. It was a joy to spend time here. This was a solid relaxing vacation experience.

Room was tidy and the view was lovely. Couch was a bit worn and kitchen was minimally equipped. It’s not really geared towards cooking, rather it was well equipped for heavy drinkers. We would have appreciated more dishes, utensils, and cooking tools, pots and pans. With dietary restrictions it’s nice having the option to make some of our own meals.

A beautiful property with scenic views and a very accommodating staff. The property is huge and has direct beach access. There’s about 20 dining options within a 3 mile radius and a grocery store within that same distance. If we ever came back to Maui, we would stay here without a doubt.

We loved our stay here and I plan to return. The resort has nice amenities like insulated grocery bag and soft side cooler for guest use. We had an issue in our room and when they weren’t able to fix it they changed us to another room. Staff were friendly And management was wonderful to work with. There are two beach options in short walking distance.

This place was advertised as beachfront and I even paid extra since it was advertised as beachfront. The tiny glimpse of beach was from a window on the staircase and an obstructed view from the bedroom.

I had an ocean view villa and the view was stunning! I loved the fact that everything was so close. The washer and dryer in the villa was a plus. The villa was very clean and close to the rest of my family that was staying in a bay villa across the street (a 3 minute drive).

Gorgeous property, the staff, beach, hiking close by, restaurants in area all were great. Room was spotless and we were able to check in early.

Everything about this property was amazing. We loved the stag and the facilities. The pools were amazing and easy beach access allowed you to be in the water in 5 minutes. There was a grocery store right across the street making it very easy to grab anything you may need. We did try the food trucks one time (average plate was $25 which got you food court quality and portion size at any mall.)

The view of the ocean was great and I was happy just to be there. It was old and a little poorly built, windows or doors were hard to open, etc. Some renovated parts were comfortable. The dryer was broken, which was inconvenient, but housekeeping provided new towels daily and offered to do laundry for free. Cooking utensils were very well stocked

Room was clean and spacious. The closet has an ac filter or vent above it that dripped and wet my clothes that were hanging. I needed the blowdryer to dry my clothes before leaving. Great staff/service, complete facilities (except pool), location is a bit far from the airport but we braved the almost 1.5hr back to the airport and honestly, it wasn't that bad - it's quite empty coming from North. The beach is stunning! Every staff member we interacted with was super nice, helpful and friendly! The room was very clean, we had multiple bath towels and beach towels were provided as well. We had a great stay at Napili Sunset Beachfront Resort for our honeymoon. My husband and I stayed in a 1 bedroom with loft apartment. The room was very clean and comfortable, and you really can't beat the proximity to the beach. We went to Napili Plaza almost daily for food and essentials - the market nearby is great too. Would absolutely recommend and would stay again! Mahalo!

Comfortable condo with an amazing view! Beautiful landscaping, very peaceful, and the lounge chairs on the grassy area are clutch--the tide gets very high at that beach so having the grass so close to the ocean was awesome! Super close to walk to the Sea House restaurant and Honokeana Cove for some snorkeling with the turtles! Love love love!
