The room was spotless but loud, we were next to the private housekeeping space and heard the elevator and loud bangs. I was trying to take a nap after I arrived, around 3:30 PM and was woken up three times from loud sounds. Also I was disappointed that our room did not have bathrobes. I was told later by a woman working at the desk on level 6 that I could request one, but I wish there had been a note or some other indication of this in our room.

This place is always a wonderful time! The staff go above and beyond to assure an amazing stay, no matter the occasion. If ever anything is wrong, they quickly make it right. This place is my special treat to myself anytime I need a getaway!

Front desk and capitol restaurant staff were very friendly, also surprised my wife and I with a cheesecake, a rose and glass of champagne for our 34th wedding anniversary.

The rooms are quite dated for a high end hotel. They were clean but it is due for an upgrade at this price point.

The staff was top notch and very helpful. The in room dining was outstanding once again, and is becoming one of our favorites and a reason we will stay here on our next trip to Indy!!

Stayed in the Modern Suite. Very nice room! Close to restaurants and walking distance to Lucas Oil Stadium. Would definitely stay here again.

Jordan was very very rude to a jr high student and complained to the customer behind him just because the child gave him a $100 bill. That is what her parents gave her. Not her fault. The food was great but Jordan was horrid

Ordered number 3 crispy chicken sandwich and come to find out they put chicken tenders instead of a chicken patty on my sandwich. Poor service I would choose the other food locations in the mall over a&w.

Had a triple burger with pepper jack, tomato, pickles and lettuce. BEST 5$ burger in my life. And i have tried EVERYWHERE. Very good. Great prices. Cooked perfectly. Thankyou!

The place is a dump, its dirty, and I'd hate to see the kitchen area. Service is rude, slow, and unprofessional. My friend ordered a bowl of chili as a side, our food arrived but her side did not. When she asked the waitress she admitted to us that it didn't arrive because the staff didn't feel like preparing it. Steak n Shake in general is a great restaurant but the staff at this particular place brings down the quality.

I'm one of six people here right now and there was no sugar at my table; the table I was sat down out by the hostess wasn't clean, so she came back and moved my stuff to wipe it down; she had to have me repeat my order of eggs, bacon, toast and coffee twice; and she forgot my water. The food wasn't very good, either, but that's just any Steak 'n Shake for you.
The Downtown Steak 'n Shake really is the worst I've been to in this city. They have a cop dividing customers between dine-in and carry-out most nights, since there aren't any employees capable of doing this(?) and they're very slow to take care of you at the register when you're ready to leave, and let THAT line get backed up. There are better diners nearby with a more interesting atmosphere, slightly better service and tastier food.
This location is fine if you need a bite to eat-- I mean, it's Steak 'n Shake-- but if you find yourself waiting at the end of a long line here on a busy weekend, just take the time to walk up to Olly's or something. You'll actually save time by going that far out of your way, believe it or not. This place is not worth the wait under ANY circumstance.

Did a good job serving a huge crowd quickly. I went during a large event, so my experience may not be representative, but it wasn't terribly clean. Food tasted great.

I came in at 2am because it's one of the few places open when I'm awake (overnights). I tried the new prime steakburger expecting it to be okay at best because it was busy and they had a normal 3-person skeleton crew. I don't think I've ever had a burger with lettuce as fresh and crunchy as that on a sandwich. Like, at 2am, I somehow got a burger that I honestly think is as good if not better than what I've been eating at five guys. The table service was not good, though. Still, I'm giving a 5/5 just for their grill guy still putting great care into a burger on a late night with a bit of a rush coming through.
