Boston Marriott Cambridge in Cambridge

I recently experienced one of the worst customer care situations I have ever encountered. Due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, all of my flights were canceled — something completely beyond my control. Because of this, I was unable to travel as planned and needed to adjust my hotel reservation.
Unfortunately, the hotel showed no willingness to cooperate. They refused to reschedule the booking under any circumstances, even though the situation was clearly caused by external events and not by any fault on my side. What made the experience even more frustrating was that they declined to modify the reservation even when I offered to pay additional fees to move the dates.
In situations like this, flexibility and understanding from hospitality providers are extremely important. Many hotels demonstrate empathy when unexpected global events disrupt travel plans, but in this case there was absolutely no effort made to accommodate the circumstances.
The overall experience felt rigid, unhelpful, and very disappointing. Customer service should be about supporting guests, especially during unforeseen disruptions, but that standard was not met here.
