I didn't like it; the bathrooms were poorly maintained, there was a cockroach in my room, and there was no light.

worst hotel I ever stayed.. no amenities and not safe

The staff at the hostel were great very helpful and friendly, the first day was abit of a nightmare toilets messed up and I had a cold shower, obviously someone had a bender and left a mess, all tidy in the morning, I had four great days and saved lots.

The hostel was very dirty, and nothing looked like the photos they posted online. They didn’t offer airport drop-off services as mentioned in the hostel information. There were no blankets or towels provided either. Very disappointing experience.

I didn’t eat there. But, the cleaning was very bad.

this place is falsely advertised. window was broken, sink didnt work, chairs were in bad conditions. very dirty and not good.

Staff were very welcoming and supportive, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a cheaper place to stay in Upper West Manhattan.
One thing the beds could use is curtains, for privacy, and chargers, bunks like the latest Hostel International designs. I stayed in the private room during the week, so I'm not sure what the larger dorms are like.

Ice cream is whack and overpriced. They weren't kidding when they said it tastes like the milk at the bottom of a cereal bowl... But somehow it's way worse. I can't believe I paid $8 w tax for this. I'd rather burn my money. Had to throw it out and I never waste food.

Cheeseburger bomb was decent but overpriced ($9 w tax).

McDonald's is better than this and I'm not even talking about price.

Not impressed and wanted to be. Went with a few friends. We each ordered different things and tasted each of those. Coffee shake, cereal milk soft serve, crack pie and a peppermint cornflake chocolate chip cookie, the most flavorful of all. Friendly service. May have to go back for another try but wasn't expecting my first try to be short on "wow."

This place is gross. I asked for a cup of water and it had a bunch of dirt at the bottom of the cup. And the ice cream was fine, but way overpriced. The menu was confusing af, and for being in the upper west side, this place was kind of trashy inside. Not the cleanest place. I won’t be going back.

Three things you need to know:
1. Cereal milk ice cream
2. Crack pie
3. Compost cookie

These are the top three must try's at Milk bar. If you had to only choose one I would go with the cereal milk ice cream. It's exactly what it sounds like- ice cream that tastes like Frosted Flakes soaked in milk. It's good but nothing unexpected. If you want the extra corn flakes on the outside it will cost you extra for a total of $5.75, which is quite a price tag for a mouthwash size cup. The crack pie and compost cookie are pretty good too. The compost cookie is a mumble jumble of junk food like chips, pretzels, chocolate chips, butterscotch, coffee, oats and graham crackers. Everything is pretty solid, but I don't think it is the best desserts I've ever had.

This location also sells the cookie mix in a can for you to take home and make. If you're interested in making your own cereal milk or birthday cake, you should go watch on YouTube and watch Christina Tosi teach you the ways.

Awesome shakes. If you love cereals and shakes. You’ll love this spot. Try something new. You may just love it. A lot.

The homies and I were trying to pass the time so we went to this place because it was nearby. We walk in and I sensed a disturbance in the force. This place was packed like the county tax collector's office before the tax overhaul goes through. That's alright, we weren't discouraged. But the real fun began when we sat down and waited 30 minutes for acknowledgement--yes ladies and gentlemen--acknowledgement. The kind that lets us know that they know 6 people with heartbeats just wobbled in. So after we received the "oh you guys exist?" We were soon permitted to order our food. Our order consisted of 2 slices of pie and 6 coffees (various types--not important). She forgot home boy #1's coffee. When he reminded her, she got an attitude and just pointed at the coffee on the counter to signal "it's coming." That was definitely not his coffee, y'all ?. Also, when my girlfriend got her coffee--it had lipstick stains on the cup. When the waitress was made aware, she did fix the situation and get her a new coffee immediately. But let's talk taste--the coffee, according to homeboy number 1, tasted like "burnt coal." I don't disagree. The pies were excellent though.

A classic! Love this spot and the vibe. It is an amazing date spot. The service can be very hit or miss, but the space is super small so I understand that table service is tight. The food is only okay, but the desserts are the reason people go there. There must be upwards of 50 cheesecake/pie/cake options. Its actually incredible. A great UWS stop.

Amazing dessert selection with easily over as 100 options. Great food and service in a quaint, picturesque little spot. Everything I've had there from the deserts to the food was delicious!!!

Very cute cafe, but you are squeezed in like sardines. Our server was like a deer in headlights, no clue AT ALL. We order 2 coffee drinks. Asked for a chocolate croissant and they said they were out so got a plain croissant. My husband asked for a chocolate eclair. After 50 minutes of waiting for our most difficult order, I had to go up to the server and remind him we were there. When the drinks finally came, the server told my husband they were out of chocolate eclairs. The only reason we finally got service was probably because of the very nice actor(Tony Plana) and his wife sitting next to us who knew how to work the place. On a side note, the plain croissant I got was VERY good. I recommend just taking a look at the place if you are going there just to see where a scene was filmed and not wasting your time trying to get served.

Beautiful restaurant in a good neighborhood. I liked the big window that welcomed sunshine for brunch diners. Service was great, and the food was tasty. I loved their interior design and all the little nuggets that they installed.

Gluten free with a Love/hate relationship with this place. Love the bar and service when I sit there hate the table service. If you order a burger have them grill the GFbun or it will fall apart 30 seconds after you get it. Dedicated fryer so fries are great! Skip the lemonade it’s a glass full of ice that you get 3 sips of for $2.00 no refills. Happy hour drinks are relatively good. With a limited choice of late night GF on upper west side I eat here a fair amount. burgers are good.

In New York there is an inflation of burger joints. They are ubiquitous, they are similar and each of them wants to give their own peculiar twist. I could not find one here. The food is ordinary although good. According to my kid he had the best cookie and cream shake ever (but he is only 15 ?). I would go back for its convenience and overall good service.

Food is delicious and so is the service. They attentive and to top it off they very good looking guys and girls as part of the staff. ;)
Only complain would be the drinks. Beer, water, soda and even wipe cream all warm. SMH
Other than that good prices and I can’t complain about the quality.

Great burgers, but decided to try the chicken & waffles this time. Chicken and buttered syrup were exquisite, but wish the waffle was more crispy. Very friendly host/hostess, however server staff was not very attentive. Overall great food but service could be better.

A very good place for great burgers. If a burger is too much for you, the menu has also a good section of salads as well. Attentive , friendly and helpful staff. Try out the sweet potato fries together with the 5 Napkin burger.
