Holiday Inn Express Houston - Galleria Area by IHG in Houston

I contacted IHG to complain about this hotel and was told the manager would get back to me, but have not received any contact so far. To start, the initial front desk clerk answered every question with sarcasm. I chose to ignore him because maybe that’s how he knows how to communicate. The real issue is when I finally got to my room and inspected the beds, as I always do, and there was hair on one bed and hair on the pillowcase on another bed. Also, one of the sheets was so wrinkled and balled up that you know it wasn’t fresh. My friend informed the front desk and was told the cleaning crew doesn’t arrive until morning. The expectation to sleep on dirty sheets until morning was crazy! So, I went down to discuss and was told the same thing. I let her know that I couldn’t sleep on a bed with someone else’s hair in it. The response: “Well, I can get you new sheets but you’ll have to put them on yourself.” Also, my lamp was out (I had work to complete) which the clerk did try to assist with by going to the breaker. When that didn’t work, she said maintenance would be there in the morning. So I couldn’t complete work, had to make my own bed with NO APOLOGIES for being given dirty sheets. I really couldn’t believe it. I really was disgusted the whole night and couldn’t wait to leave. Also, the sink was clogged and one of the towels still had hair on it. Customer service and care was completely out the window during my stay. I’ll be contacting their main number again since I have yet to receive an email/call.
