I was a little scared to go here, it was part of a group travel. So the room is really basic, but the bed is quite ok. Good is the staff in the entire hotel, restaurant etc etc. Food is way better than expected for breakfast. So, very satisfied for a “simple” hotel.

Samarkand was wonderful, we received it wonderfully. The people were very kind and sociable, and everything was affordable. The Aminabonu guesthouse is in a great location. I definitely recommend it. The place is beautiful. Loved the service. We wanted to check in a bit earlier that day. They were nice enough to accommodate for that with no issue. The rooms were warm (weather was cold ~17-20C). They were kind enough to store my luggage before check-in. It was easily accessible from Registan Square, so I was able to easily go see the sunrise in the morning. The hotel was clean, and the shower room had a door instead of a curtain, which was comfortable. The front desk staff were also very helpful.
