My friend and I stayed here for two nights when we visited Samarkand. The location, staff service, and food were all excellent. I especially appreciated the complimentary water bottles. I had the most economical room. Even so, it had a small window. Due to the thin walls, it wasn't perfectly quiet, but overall it was comfortable enough. Breakfast is served upstairs, and it can get crowded. There's also a terrace. The location is convenient for Registan and the Mausoleum.

We stayed in a very large room. It had a bathroom large enough to be a room. Surprisingly enough. Unfortunately, there wasn't a single armchair or chair in the room. There were incredible closets. A peaceful strategic area with a less than a kilometre reaching to Registan Square. I felt safe walking alone at night in this area.The hotel does not have a lift (elevator), so be mindful of heavy luggages.

The budget hotel has a good location and a quiet environment. It's about 300 meters from Timur Mausoleum and a 10-minute walk from Registan Square. Similar to other reviews, the drain had a strong odor, and the soundproofing was average. Aside from that, everything else was fine. It's very close to Registan Square, and the area around the square is lively. However, there's no free shuttle service; they just help you call a taxi. If there's no one at the front desk, you can ring the bell.

The service is excellent, and I'd like to single out a young man named Hasan, who helped us with our suitcases upon check-in and loaded us into a taxi upon check-out. I took an instant dislike to this place which was probably rather unfair of me, but surely they could have come up with a less pretentious name. Just amazing! I've seen mixed reviews and I was worried but, honestly, everything was top notch! I checked in at 2am super fast. My room was clean, fresh smell, plenty of towels, quiet! This hotel is a gem! The location is perfect for sightseeing, as most major landmarks are within an easy walking distance. The atmosphere is lovely, especially in the warmer seasons. The hot water was not available until we asked for it and it took quite a few hours to get the hot water in the room Toilet fan upside the roof was too loud, so we could not use it during sleeping time.

Unfortunately, I fell ill during my stay, but the hotel staff were very caring – they brought me tea and sweets while I was unable to leave the hotel, which I deeply appreciated. However, the room was a bit noisy and did not have proper windows, only one facing the hotel corridor.

We loved our stay at Durdona. The location is great, the rooms have everything you need and are kept very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is really good and the whole stay was very authentic.
