Hotel is located around 10-15mins away of centre. The hotel room was spacious and spotlessly clean. First room was on the ground floor but we had a sleepless night due to loud noise and music from those using the basement swimming pool. Staff kindly moved us to the 3rd floor on Day 3, which was lovely and quite.
Breakfast was somewhat disappointing. They had lots of different choices but not to our taste and seemed a bit of a mishmash. Breakfast staff were super friendly and tried their best to cater for us.
In summary, it's a reasonable location, but I would recommend something more central to Registan. Hotel is comfortable, staff are accommodating and pleasant.

Overall a great place to stay. Comfortable, quiet, nice swimming area (real heated pool). Rooms rather small.
But breakfast needs a real improvement, especially for the rates paid. No butter, no fruit and we had to ask for milk every single day (though there are cereals being offered, no clue how people eat cornflakes here).
Always long queue at the coffee machine. The machine was not maintained (cleaning, adding water and beans) before breakfast's opening times but rather when guests were already present and complaining. It happened the three days we were there.
Also, it needs rearranging. Because of the queue at the coffee machine, dishes, glasses or cutlery are hardly accessible. There is enough place to move the furtinure somewhere else and improve people's moves.

Disappointing stay at Hayat Plaza Samarkand – Not recommended for families or couples.
Location is the only good thing — tourist attractions are nearby (2 to 2.5 km range), but that’s where the positives end.
The rooms were a mess:
• AC wasn’t working.
• No Muslim shower in the bathroom.
• Sockets not placed near the bed.
• Poor layout, zero privacy.
Room service? Useless.
Breakfast? A complete joke. Despite knowing that many tourists from India, Pakistan, and other Asian countries visit Uzbekistan, they serve a dull, limited English breakfast. We paid for it but didn’t even bother eating — it deserves a zero.
Security? Shocking. Around 2 or 3 AM, someone tried to open our door from outside. Thankfully, it was locked from inside. Totally unsafe and unacceptable.
If you’re coming from the UAE, India, Pakistan, or anywhere with family or as a couple — do not stay here. It’s not worth your money, comfort, or peace of mind.

This area is less busy and more clean compared to main square so that good for family visit.
Some beddings and towels were stained but I think it’s not their fault, but customer’s.
The only thing I want to suggest is bathroom. It’s too slippery and bad odor never goes away.
Whatever I say, it’s value for money.

Stayed here for 7 nights with family, the room was super clean and the interiors are just amazingly beautiful. The staff are very courteous and helpful and speaks English. They did room cleaning almost every single day and breakfast was customised and delicious. The hot has a beautiful pool with jacuzzi and Russian and Turkish Hamam and Spa service. It was just great!
The hotel is close the most attraction and I used YandexGo app for taxi booking. It’s very cheap and reliable.
