Wyndham Tashkent Hotel in Tashkent

Stayed 3 nights at Wyndham Hotel in Tashkent. The location was very convenient, close to many shops and attractions, which made it easy to get around the city.

Breakfast was nice with a good variety of food, although the dining area felt a bit crowded because the number of tables was limited. The restaurant staff and bellboys were always friendly, polite, and helpful, which made a good impression.

The main area that needs improvement is the reception. The receptionists were quite serious and did not seem very friendly or welcoming. A warmer attitude at check-in and during guest interactions would make the overall experience much better.

Overall, it was a comfortable stay in a very good location, with some excellent service from the restaurant team and bellboys, but the front desk service could definitely be improved.

The hotel is overpriced for what it offers. Facilities are outdated—the hairdryer in my room was burnt and partially melted, and the replacement was small with a short cord and weak airflow. The room itself was cramped with an inefficient layout.

Housekeeping was the biggest issue. They moved my belongings without permission and placed dirty items in my open suitcase. My wallet, which I had left open to dry after getting wet, was closed and stored away, causing it to develop a musty smell.

A colleague experienced something similar—her sanitary pads, left on the bathroom counter, were moved and later found hidden in another bag.

This was the first time I encountered such poor housekeeping at a hotel of this standard. The front desk staff were also unprofessional, with limited English communication.

Given the price, I expected much better. I would recommend choosing a newer boutique hotel for better value.
