Not staying at this hotel but rather the one next door which is absolutely lovely. This hotel is currently getting construction work done but is making an absolute racket that is deafening. Our hotel staff have asked next door numerous times to keep work within certain hours and they have completely ignored this request. This morning they started work at 06:30 which is beyond ridiculous. If this hotel shows such little regard for other hotel’s guests, I would hate to think how they may treat their own. I wanted to write this here because the hotel should take ownership for it as opposed to our hotel getting the brunt of it.

I think we had the "penthouse" as we had our room at the top floor with a big balcony with 2 bathrooms. The room was huge. It would have been super if they cleaned up the balcony as this had a view of the train from the train street which was very nearby. The room we stayed at was not the same as in the pictures, but for the price, it was ok.

Location in the middle of old quarter, 5 minutes to train cafe and 10 minutes to the Dong Xua market.

Very lovely hotel in the heart of the Old Quarter! Train Street is literally right across the road. I really appreciated the warm welcome from the owners - they were incredibly kind. I asked about a nearby print shop and they happily printed my doc for free.
The room is lovely and the AC works well. The bathroom amenities are a bit old, but it didn’t affect my stay, the water pressure was great (speaking as a girl with long hair who always struggles with this at hotels!).

For 3500 yen a night, I really can't complain! Though the towels, sheets, duvet, and pillows might not have been the cleanest. The hotel staff were incredibly kind! I had a tough time finding it because AI and Google Maps kept directing me to a different hotel. It seems there's confusion between Maison da Hanoi and Maison da boutique Hanoi.

The location is superb, the hotel is clean, and the service was friendly and wonderful. I would definitely love to stay here again.

Room service was also not very attentive. Housekeeping did not automatically clean or refresh the room unless we specifically requested it. Basic services such as tidying up the room, replacing towels, or refilling amenities were only done after we called and asked. This made the overall stay feel less comfortable and less welcoming.
Overall, the hotel is not terrible, but it certainly does not stand out as an excellent place to stay. The service and policies do not justify being considered among the best. There is definitely room for improvement in terms of customer service, flexibility, and overall guest experience.
