The staff at Mai Charming are amazing. They were all super helpful and friendly. Tom was the one to check us in and ga e us all the info we needed and answered all our questions.
Rooms are a bit small but perfect for a quick one night stay. The rooms were clean. I had a shower the night before and I had hot water however the next morning we didn't have any water when my husband wanted to shower. The staff did apologize and said the water was off in the whole area.

The staff are very friendly.
Every staff member greets you every time you pass by the lobby, so it can be a little annoying at times.
The room size is very small and the soundproofing is a bit disappointing, but I am very satisfied with this condition for this price.
They also hand out printed guides about restaurants and places to go nearby, and you can feel that they are concerned about any inconveniences.
It seems suitable for a man with a calm personality traveling alone.

2025, photos are probably Photoshopped or from 20 years ago. if you don't mind mold and ultra high humidity without proper ventilation you can try your luck. The staff was polite but... is there any positive, when it looks like they know about the problem in rooms?

Had a wonderful experience at this quaint little Hotel in the old quarter of Hanoi. The staff was amazing, especially Prime and Hailey. They directed us to some of the local attractions and eateries that make Hanoi special !!

Bed bug warning!!!!
Avoid this hotel at all costs! Hotel room was beyond liveable in. Not a single window in the room, disgustingly dirty and the icing on the cake was lifting the pillow to find a crazy amount of bed bugs. Room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Rundown doesn’t even begin to describe the conditions of the building. When we found the bed bugs we immediately went to the front desk and asked for a full refund, receptionist called the manager and claimed that they could not give me a refund until the next day and asked for my WhatsApp. After I refused to accept this (given the circumstances) and demanded for my money back that night the manager showed up and made more of a fuss before finally refunding me. Please please please avoid this place.
