I had an amazing stay at Hotel Borklad! Everything was perfect — from the warm and professional service to the delicious breakfast served every morning. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. Every little detail was taken care of, and the staff made sure we felt welcome the entire time. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxing and high-quality experience!

Hotel Borklad was such a cosy and wonderful place to stay. We were looking for reasonably priced accommodations, and for what we paid, the experience exceeded expectations and was 100% worth the value.

Our visit to Albania was made even better by the incredible hospitality we encountered, perfectly exemplified by Gert, our host at Hotel Borklad. He went above and beyond, recommending a fantastic wine tasting experience, arranging a great tour guide, and even helping us with cabs. His attentiveness and warmth made our stay truly memorable.

The rooms were unique, beautifully designed, and extremely well-maintained. Although there were some renovations happening during our stay, they were managed so professionally that they didn’t impact our experience at all.

The breakfast was another highlight—fresh, delicious, and served with a stunning view.

10/10 would recommend staying at Hotel Borklad! It’s a gem that combines comfort, value, and exceptional hospitality. 😊

A basic hotel as you would expect from a 2 or 3 star hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

Rooms are adequate with comfortable beds. Note, if you require daily cleaning of your room, they charge extra.

The breakfast was a simple mixture of cooked eggs, bread, fig jam, butter, cheese, fruit juice, coffee and tea which is served the same exact way every day.

They don't ask how you want your eggs cooked. They just serve it.

Location is quite central although we had a slight problem finding the hotel because it's tucked away behind the main street.

If you have a car, please note that you cannot park anywhere near the hotel but there's a car park about 10 minutes walk that charges €5 for 24 hours.

The hotel is just a few minutes walk to the promenade which has most of the modern bars and restaurants. It's also the place where the locals go for their early evening walks so perfect for those who like people watching.

From the hotel, you can also walk up to the castle but be warned that it is quite steep with cobblestones that could be slippery on rainy days.

There's also a nearby supermarket where you can get your water and snacks.

What a perfect little oasis in the busy town of Berat! Instruction on how to get there and where to park were thorough and well thought out. Room was beautiful, clean and well furnished. Breakfast on the roof patio was lovely and delicious. Location to all attractions perfect. Just make sure that when you come to Berat bring a good pair of walking shoes and definitely train on the stair climber before. But, this place did not disappoint! Thanks for the great experience!
