Grand White City Hotel in Berat

the location is great, walk to everything. breakfast is very nice. I had problems w housekeeping. when I was arrived I was put in a room where the air conditioning didn't work and the toilet seat was broken. now if you cleaned a toilet you would know a toilet seat is broken and report it. I had to report to staff the toilet seat was broken. at the time. I didn't realize the air conditioner didn't work but after running it for 3 hours and a room was still so hot. I went down to the desk and told them it wasn't working properly. he did come up and try to get it to work but was unable to do so. there were no other rooms available and I had to spend my first night in a warm room. it finally cooled off some after midnight. The next morning. they were able to give me a next room when one became vacant. The second room wasn't as nice as the first room. I had no table and chairs. there was nothing to sit on. that second day I went on a tour and when I came back all I wanted to do was take a shower. there was no soap and shampoo in the shower and I'm naked. I had to put clothes on go to the desk and tell him I have no shampoo and soap. I also think housekeeping may have stolen my heating pad. I got to my next location and realized I don't have it. I really don't think I left it behind because I checked that room very good. I could have possibly accidentally left it in the first room and in my hurry to pack up the next morning before going on a tour from moving first room to the second room, but housekeeping could have brought it down to me in the second room.

There were some issues with the hotel. Free parking was not available at check in, the room didn't have a balcony as booked, the room given had the AC and the toilet defective..etc. People were very prompt to deal with issues, came with me to find the parking, even carrying my luggage. My rating is more for people than the hotel. Hotel is old and dated. It has a great location and the view was amazing. No elevator. Breakfast was plain and simple, almost poor. Eggs...typical Albanian, fried and so hard and overcooked. Again, my rating is for locatoon and people, they really try hard.

The hotel boasts an excellent location. We were able to use the free parking and walk everywhere. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly.
Breakfast on the rooftop was enjoyable. However, it was a pity that the bathroom wasn't up-to-date and lacked a curtain, causing the room to get very bright early in the morning.
Despite these minor points, we had a superb mountain view.
Otherwise, everything else was great. The hotel's location just below the old town is truly perfect.

This hotel was amazing. The food was delicious,fresh and the staff was very kind and welcoming. Me and my family loved it, we had a very good time. It was a familiar place. I suggest this to everyone. If you visit Berat don’t forget to pass by. This were my favourite dishes.

Very nice hotel situated on the boulevard next to the park and the river. Conveniently placed for visiting the castle and the old parts of the town but also close to the shops and many cafes, bars and restaurants. I had a large double room with king size bed that was very comfortable, table and chairs, dressing table and separate wardrobe area. The bathroom is luxurious with bath and overhead shower, basin, toilet, bidet. There is always plenty of hot water. Free breakfast as standard in a rooftop room with lovely views. The breakfast is very good with a lot of choice. Staff are friendly and always happy to help.

We received a very warm welcome. The room was beautiful and spacious, offering a stunning view of the city. The hotel is ideally located at the foot of the old town. The breakfast was excellent. Overall, this hotel offers fantastic value for money. It was a delightful surprise and a truly enjoyable experience.
