We had a very nice time here in the Hotel Gega. The breakfast was also very nice and had many options. The hotel is only a short walk away from the historical center and the rooms are quite nice. The only issue we had was the shower that splashed everywhere due to the lack of a closed shower cabin, but we have noticed that this is almost always the case here in Albania. The hotel staff is really sweet and the girls at the reception helped us a lot with parking the car and were overall really sweet!

This place I do not recommend at all because the service is absolutely terrible
The owner was extremely rude to my father and as Americans Tourists coming to a hotel the way she handled our situation was rude just letting others who come to the hote know that be careful and I do not recommend this hotel at all.

We were a bit disappointed with the hotel. The staff were friendly, especially the housekeeper. The continental breakfast had some tasty options. It's in a convenient location.
But the shower was a mess and got water everywhere, no matter what we did. The bathroom reeked of a sewer smell. The front door was difficult to lock and unlock using the key. The tv didn't work. No elevator was a bummer.
The room was tiny (that's not unusual in Albania though). We would book a different hotel if and when we visit Berat again.

Location is fantastic, staff is very nice and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable. Only caveat is very weak wi-fi, but sometimes it is great to be off the grid!

The hotel has great location and good price/quality ratio. It is located near the center and so close to the old town. You have free parking in front of the hotel.

The room was small and basic. The air conditioning unit did not work particularly well. However the free breakfast was good and varied.

Service was definitely the highlight at Gega Hotel. The staff were fantastic and really friendly. Our room was ok, but it looked different from the photos and description. There was no fridge, but when I pointed this out, the staff provided one. We did have issues with the aircon, though, which couldn't be fixed. However, our stay was comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
