Merko Hotel in Berat

This hotel is amazing! Right in the center of Berat, it’s super convenient for exploring the city. The 360° rooftop bar on the 7th floor is absolutely stunning—perfect for catching a sunset or just soaking in the views of Berat and the surrounding mountains.

Breakfast was a treat, with fresh, local ingredients that really hit the spot. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and had some of the best views I’ve seen.

If you’re planning a trip to Berat, this place is a must-stay. Perfect mix of comfort, views, and location!

Perfect location for visiting Berat

I spent 1 night here , I was on an Explore tour. The views from this hotel are fantastic, I was on the 4th floor and had a great view from my bedroom. Breakfast is on the 7th floor , probably the most stunning view I have ever eaten Breakfast too. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy. Bed comfortable, shower good. The WiFi signal is strong and stable. Centrally located, there is a supermarket across the road. Breakfast was good. One of the better hotels I stayed in.

Lovely up to date hotel in the centre of Berat. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The boulevard and old town are right around the corner within walking distance. Our room wasn't very big, but very clean and nicely decorated. Only downside for us was the lack of outdoor space to have a bit of a chill after a day of sightseeing.

The hotel is in a great location. Walkable to the Main Street where the restaurants are, and a short walk (uphill) to the castle, the gates of pasha, the mosques and cathedrals, and the famous bridge - all within walking distance. Great views of the town from the rooftop where breakfast is served.

Breakfast was served at the penthouse with panoramic views of the city, castle and bridge. Breakfast was scrambled and fried eggs, chicken sausages, cheeses and turkey ham, fresh cut cucumbers and tomatoes, fresh baked breads and lemon cake, watermelon, coffee, tea and juices. Great value to be included with the room.

Parking was free. When you check in they give you a key card for the underground parking garage just down the street.

The room has an adjustable AC unit you can set to your preferred temperate and the bathroom included towels and a hair dryer. You’ll want to bring a blanket if you like sleeping with one as they just provide a two sheets and pillows for the bed. The room also includes free WiFi.

The service was outstanding. From check in to check out, we were provided with local recommendations and excellent service. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you to the Merko Hotel team!
