Iliad Hotel in Durres

I visit the restaurant with my family , we order fish soep and there was a huge plastic piece. The meals arrived seperatly. When I finished my meal others were still waiting for their meal.The grilled meat was cold. I filled robbed with these poor service. Also they charged 6€ as service fee what a joke. Definitely not worth it not recommended.

We came for chicken soup, but we ended up drinking very tasteless, chicken-flavored hot water. Furthermore, they added a 2 euro service charge to the bill, so it's not a place to choose.

STAY AWAY from this hotel. I would leave zero stars if I could. My family and I checked in and I kindly asked the front desk staff—who happened to be the owner’s daughter—if we could park in the lot. She said yes. We left for a quick meal before our room was ready, and I received a call saying we couldn’t park there. I rushed back immediately, only to be yelled at aggressively by the owner.

He got in my face and said if I hadn’t moved the car, it would have been “broken into pieces.” When I told him his daughter gave us permission, she denied it—clearly scared of him.

The issue was never about moving the car—it was about the complete lack of respect and unprofessionalism. I politely asked for a refund because I no longer felt comfortable staying there with my family, and he refused.

We’ve traveled across Albania and met nothing but kind and respectful people—this was by far the worst treatment we’ve experienced!!

This is not how you run a business, especially in hospitality. I do not recommend staying here!!!
