We stayed one night at Artist City Center and had a very good experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well located in the city center. The balcony was a nice bonus and perfect to relax. Check-in was easy and the host was friendly. Good value for one night stay. I recommend this place

The blanket smells like insecticide and the room constantly smells damp and musty! There is no internet! The room is on the fourth floor with no elevator! The shower water pressure is extremely weak, and there are so many other issues that I honestly don’t even have the energy to explain them all!

The hotel owner clearly doesn’t want to spend even ten euros on maintaining this place! Even if they paid me 50 euros per day, I would not stay there!

I absolutely do not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Stay far away from this hotel!!!!

Stayed at City Center Urban Hotel for a weekend in Tirana and had a really great time. The place is super clean, comfy, and just steps from everything. But what really stood out was the host—so warm, easy to talk to, and genuinely wanted to make sure I was settled. Felt more like staying with a friend than a hotel. Would definitely come back!

Fantastic stay at Hotel Artist Tirana!
The hotel has a top location—right in the heart of Tirana, within walking distance to all the main attractions, cafes, and restaurants. My room was very comfortable, clean, and stylishly designed with great attention to detail. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made me feel really welcome throughout my stay. Perfect for both short city breaks and longer stays. Highly recommended!

Worst hotel I have ever experienced!
Total disaster and scam! The first room we got had nothing to do with the photos on Booking – old broken furniture, disgusting. After complaining, they gave us another room, but it was just as terrible. Bad smell, dirt, dust everywhere, sweat stains on the blanket, hair on the pillow and even in the sink. The shower was beyond disgusting… I felt unsafe and extremely uncomfortable staying there.
Most of the time the reception was “managed” by children – absolutely unprofessional. The “parking” the hotel advertises does not exist – it’s just a tiny narrow passage where you can’t really park, and they still shamelessly charge €10 for it!
Biggest disappointment, scam and fraud. It ruined our stay in Tirana. DO NOT STAY HERE, EVER! 😡

I loved this quirky hotel and I loved Tirana as it's a very hip city. So this hotel is basically in the best location you can be in when in Tirana as it's just a short and pleasant stroll to the centre and this area is a vibrant neighbourhood full of bars, restaurants and the like. I had a few beers in two different Irish bars very close by and while they weren't that busy the vibe was good. There are other choices around the area also. On this solo trip around Eastern Europe this was one of the hotels where I seemed to know where I was very quickly so I felt at home. There is a Burger King literally next door which I would normally laugh at, but it came in handy one day when I wanted a quick bite. The breakfast is superb and it's personally prepared for you when you enter the breakfast area. I got coffee and juice with a basket of very fresh, crusty bread with a croissant. For the main I got an egg with avocado on toast one morning and French toast the next. I have to say it was excellent. My only gripe would be there was a bit of a stain on the bathroom ceiling and I found the shower curtain annoying, but this hotel is very impressive all in all. It cost me €76 for two nights with breakfast. I actually thought the €76 taken out of my bank must have been for the first night, but that was total so I have to say well done to this hotel as hotels are shocking expensive in my country. Tirana is such a good city and really deserves to be visited. Thanks, Irish Travel Man.

FRAUD!!! If I could, I would give zero stars. Horrible hotel! I’m also trying to file a complaint through Booking, as they advertise services that they do not actually provide. There is no after-sales support, they did not refund the damage deposit, they charge “tourist taxes,” they advertise rooms with private bathrooms but assign guests to shared ones, and they switch guests from one room to another without any explanation. The place is dirty, and on top of that, there’s constant pigeon noise in the ceiling — which only reinforces the sense of poor hygiene.

Moreover, as I was leaving, I saw other guests also complaining about various issues and arguing at the reception.

They take advantage of language barriers, charge unjustified fees, and treat guests with complete disrespect — like garbage!

Absolutely terrible! Poor communication and awful service. Not worth a single cent, no matter how cheap it is!

They forced me to pay 200 euros, supposedly for the room guarantee, in addition to the 40 euros of the stay. And I walked about 15 minutes away with a 30 kilo suitcase, to a house where there were other people and it essentially operated as a hostel. The girl at the reception (20 years old) assured me that they would refund my money within 14 days. Now they tell me in 40 days and not to call them again. They are unprofessional, liars and thieves. Stay away.

Scam!!! Booked a 1 night stay here and had to pay a damage deposit of 200 euros. Was informed later that the hotel cancelled my reservation. It had been 2 weeks and I have not received a refund. Absolute scam of a hotel! Avoid at all costs!!! I would give them 0 stars if possible

I stayed at this hotel recently and have yet to receive back my €200 deposit, despite multiple follow-ups. It's been more than 14 days and the lack of response is frustrating. I’ve since seen other reviews from guests with the same issue, which suggests my case isn’t an isolated one. Unfortunately I strongly advise to avoid this place – getting your deposit returned may be more difficult than expected.

I can write comment only about the restaurant. I have never encountered such wonderful service in a restaurant in my life not than here. The older waitress was so kind that. words cannot describe it. A warm welcome, suggestions and lots of smiles.
I am sure we will enter restaurant if we here again.

The place is utterly disappoiting. I went there for work trip, and I expected some form of comfort, only to find myself in a room with a broken AC. It was either you freeze (because the AC would be cranked to the max - you can't lower it) or you turn it off and endure the room heating up very quickly.
The room was clean, the towels were clean but the problem with the AC made it really difficult to be able to sleep at all, having to wake up to turn off/on the AC every few hours during the night...
Location is good, quite central but nothing special.
Breakfast was decent, nothing special, not a huge range of options though.

The family owned feel is prevalent from every single staff member. It’s a pretty busy smaller hotel but they seem to have a large number of returning guests, which says a lot. Breakfast is complete and tasty and the restaurant always serves delicious food. The location is very safe and convenient.

The receptionist is very nice, location is good if you are looking to walk around the center of Tirana.
The hotel's maintenance is quite low, we took the family room on the upper floor.
The tub was leaking making the floor wet, and the water system in the sink would not go down while the tap was running, looks like the water system is very old and needs some fixing.
Other than that the room was very basic maybe a bit overpriced (90€ a night)
Breakfast was basic as well but sufficient.
