Stayed here for one night, wonderful boutique hotel. It's run by an Italian man who came to help after the 1988 earthquake and ended up staying, he purchased the buildings, restored them and the inner courtyard, and turned them into Villa Kars. Great example of traditional Gyumri architecture, and the rooms are furbished with interesting things too. The location is great too, right in the old city and within walking distance of all the interesting things. Definitely recommend staying here.
In the first one the heating didn’t work at all and the wc were very dirty. In the second one the heating was blocked to 27 degrees: not possible to low it. And the shower hadn’t been cleaned for a while. We asked twice to an employee concerning the extrem heat in the second room but no reaction. Obviously He knew that it didn’t work. Pity for such a nice place.
