I stayed at Castle Family Hotel in Yerevan and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. From the moment I arrived, the service was unprofessional and unhelpful. The staff seemed uninterested in assisting guests, and any requests were either ignored or met with rudeness.
The room itself was far below expectations — dirty, poorly maintained, and clearly not cleaned properly before check-in. The bedding and towels looked worn out, and the bathroom had an unpleasant smell. Basic amenities that were advertised were either missing or not functioning.
Noise was another big issue. Walls are paper thin, and it was impossible to get a good night’s sleep. On top of that, the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt unwelcoming and uncomfortable.
For the price they charge, the quality and service are unacceptable. There are many better options in Yerevan that provide far more comfort, cleanliness, and professionalism. I would strongly recommend avoiding Castle Family Hotel.

The room smelled like a mix of mold and regret. The sheets had mysterious stains, and the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the 90s. Very rude and unhelpful staff. The front desk had the customer service skills of a grumpy troll. Asked for a fan since the rooms air conditioner was not working and was told, ‘Deal with it. They lied about parking space , I didn’t feel safe parking my car on the tiny street of Yerevan so with all these I had to leave to another hotel . And they refused to refund. This hotel is where happiness goes to die. The only positive? It made me appreciate sleeping on a park bench.

Not reliable hotel. I booked via Booking and the booking was confirmed. But they sent me a message saying that they do not have a room available. and this the day of the arrival.

Our experience with this hotel has been very disappointing. They failed to uphold the terms of our agreement and have an outstanding debt that has gone unpaid for several months. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the matter professionally, communication has been poor and unresponsive. I would strongly caution others against entering into any business partnership with them.

We booked a room for 2 nights, consisting of two rooms (2 adults, 2 children), a kitchen with a washing machine. The reservation was confirmed. As a result, having arrived at 10 pm, we were given a room without a window (stuffy, the air conditioner does not cope), with 4 single beds, one double bed without a washing machine, the door to the toilet does not close, as well as the drawer under the sink, in the bathroom there is a terrible stench of sewage. The administrator could not say any reasonable arguments, we had no choice but to check in, because at such a time it is extremely difficult to find something for 4 with two rooms. The icing on the cake was the lack of towels and glasses in the room. The administrator said that he was not going to bring this to us on the 4th floor, if I needed THIS, I should bring it myself. A state of shock is the least way to describe our state. They refused to return the difference in the amount of payment for different room categories.

The room was old and in need of repairs. Cracks in ceilings where there was water damage not repaired. Dresser had drawer missing. Toilet seat was not attached. Only electric for charging was extension cords. Location is far from town with only a few options to eat. They say breakfast is included. There was none. Not even coffee. They say seasonal pool. It June the pool was empty and appeared it had been that way for some time. Stayed one night and ask for a refund for the other 2 nights booked and they said they could not refund my card. Don’t stay here it’s a pit.

Oops, what a mistake to book this place. Rooms are in bad shape. Cracks in ceiling from water. Toilet seat not attached and behind the tank. No breakfast or coffee even though advertised. Pool was empty

All of our rooms had water damage. No wonder, given the state of the bathroom. The bathroom door could no longer be closed because part of the door frame had broken out of the wall. The mattresses are completely worn out. There are no slatted frames at all - if you were lucky, you had an OSB board under your mattress, some were lying on the wooden edges of the bed frame. The breakfast was an absolute disgrace for the price.

We were there for two nights, while the room was ok, everything else was way overpriced and and unorganized. At first, we couldn't lock our room because they "lost" or keys. We had to leave it open and trust everything. The prizes for drink were way to high. Not just a bit, it was way too much! It would have been cheaper to get a taxi, buy a small bottle of water and drive back with it then bud it there. And this is not a joke. Then we agreed for 8:00am for breakfast, but when we arrived, nothing was ready! We had to wait for 30 more minutes till we got plates and bread, and then everything else came in very slow. The tree and coffee which we received about 45min later was also way too less for everybody. Water was not included! When we left, we insisted on an invoice, but they where completely unable to get it! The stuff always referred to the manager, but he was never there. For the invoice, he they had to get him to come there, which took about an hour, but even then he wasnt able to print it. They where all extremely incompetent. All in all, i would not recommend this hotel!
