The accommodation is in a convenient location. The rooms are old and the amenities are not in very good condition, but overall the stay was comfortable and complete.

Aside from its excellent location, this hotel's facilities are pretty mediocre, especially the Wi-Fi in the rooms – it's practically non-existent. When I reported the issue to the front desk, a male staff member simply told me to use the internet in the lobby. I was speechless.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is unbeatable-it's centrally located in Sydney, making it super easy to reach attractions, restaurants and transport. The price is great value for money. I'll absolutely book this hotel for my future trips to Sydney and highly recommend it!

Location 10/10 near central and short walk into CBD, but there is no drinking water. Room type is acceptable with clean and quiet.

Pretty good. Stayed with my parents, three of us. Although the room was small, the location was excellent. The only annoying thing was that the hotel Wi-Fi basically didn't work in the room; we had to go downstairs to use it.

I booked a one-night stay at Metro Hotel Marlow Sydney Central at the last minute. For the price, both the location and the overall facilities were quite reasonable. While it was a short stay, I felt it was a solid enough choice to recommend to others looking for value in Sydney.
However, there were a few areas that could be improved. The bathroom felt quite dated, and the shower taps were a bit difficult to use. Additionally, the toilet seat felt somewhat flimsy, and the toilet itself was quite old. The Wi-Fi connection was also unreliable, so I ended up having to use my phone’s hotspot to watch YouTube. Lastly, the soundproofing was a bit weak, and I could hear some noise from the surroundings.
Despite these minor issues, I believe the price is very competitive for a night in Sydney. If these small things are addressed, it would be an even better place to stay.

The hotel location is extremely strategic! It is just within 5-10 mins walk to China town, Pitt Street Market, QVB and about 2-25 mins walk to Opera House. Tram stations are also just within few minutes walking ranges. Super convenient!
We didn't book for the breakfast, as the surrounding has many cafes/shops with variety cuisine of breakfast.
Although the hotel is a bit old, the overall cleanliness of the room is satisfying. One thing that we feel not that good is the space of the room is limited, the mattresses are less comfortable and the pillows are too soft for us.

Great food, enough portions. Opens till late. The only drawback for me is sharing table with other people. Busy all the time. Live local Thailand music. I don’t understand it but it was good. A must try place for sure. I missed eating crape so I’m waiting to go back. (The crape stall closes at 11pm).

Great pad thai and iced Thai coffee. Friendly staff and a popular spot for local Thais which is a good sign. We will go back.

As a fan of Thai food, this place truly delivers. There is a very pleasing aesthetic be with the bricked walls and urban-esque decoration. Service is always extremely quick, and food is very delicious. Highly recommend.

My most favourite yumcha restaurant in Sydney! Take a group or take a date for some early morning yumcha.
Food: 10/10 delicious and perfect
Service: 7/10 expect the usual service
Ambiance: 9/10 simply beautiful

One of my favourite yum cha places. Service is great expect for the 'managers' dressed in black who attempt to avoid any physical work. Yum cha selection is great and the trolley ladies are always kind and hospitable. Avoid ordering an alcoholic beverage and just drink the tea for goodness sake.

English skills lacking; ordered 3 times and still got it wrong. Authentic atmosphere, but menu is huge and gives the impression for the possibility for prepared, reheated items. Carpet is dirty.

Good to have a clean Chinese Restaurant in China town Sydney which is enjoyable. But just two of us can’t order the signature crab or lobster because all of them are in big size. I am expecting a ‘Dim Sum set’ which is AUD 22 for few different kinds of Dim Sum but just not available in this branch. Prawn dumplings is good.
Well you can also go China town shop for the dry or frozen Abalone ??♀️

We have Been going to the fox studio one since I was a toddler but now we try to only occasionally go to the city one because every time we go the price keeps getting steeper and secondly the service keeps getting worse and worse. Our friend use to work here and always made sure to serve us so it’s really hard in his memory to leave a review like this but I can’t say much about the restaurant anymore. Don’t get me wrong the food is okay but not worth the rude staff.

I have been going for decades! You don't go there to order regular dishes, they're not that great. You have to order the big ones like crab and lobster with noodles, whole fish, pippies, prawns, large abalone that is thinly sliced, or individual abalones, and oysters. I love the atmosphere and am used to the service of Chinese restaurants and you have to be comfortable with it being busy and noisy. I especially love coming after midnight after a big night out. My favourite Chinese restaurant.

It's great to be able to have a great dinner late after work. The food is very good, the pippies and squid are amazing, the Braised Mud Crab with Diced Pork and Vermicelli in Hot Pot so tasty. Great food, great service.

Bit of an institution which has an extensive menu of seafood and non-seafood dishes.
Beer and Wine list is very extensive and covers everything from Grange to the French Reds to the standard Australian wines.
Service is always good and whenever you order shellfish they'll bring it out for you first before they cook it.
They're open till late so well worth it on the way home from the City.,
