Over cooked salmon. Calamari wasn’t real and deep fried, while menu stated lightly fried. Dinner was Served with rice and chips. Waitress stated salad is more expensive than potatoes! Seemed like they wanted us just to spend more money. Also split beer over my son. Disappointing.

Took my wife to this resturant on sunday and was so annoyed I had to review. The service was excellent. Young (good looking only need apply) back packers that were well trained and did a great job.
The problem was the seafood. It is all false. They call fish "dory" when its "basa" a frozen imported fish from the catfish family. Lobsters are tiny and imported from Vietnam. Snapper is not snapper.
Their menu is a scam and unfortunately many restaurants do it.
Remember if you expect too eat Australian fresh seafood you will pay upwards of $50 a kg. All you get at Georges is cheap imported frozen rubbish fish. Many are farmed.
The wines and beer prices are at the high end so not much going for it.

We ordered seafood soup, got too many mushrooms, two prawns and a squid what the heck? Pat Thai pork, got literally only two pork meat in it. Long wait for food. Not coming back ! Won’t recommend anyone.

After mentioning my dietary requirements, I was advised that there would be a few options I could choose from. Just before ordering the waitress went and checked with the chef to ensure those options. I chose from what I was offered. After a long wait, my dish came with eggs after I had specifically asked for vegan. I sent the dish back in advising that it had eggs knowing from the smell and the texture . And the dish was returned and they advised that there was definitely no egg in it. As I was still doubtful, I didn't eat and asked another waitress to confirm and after she checked, she confirmed that the dish had eggs after all. I then had to wait again for a dish that had less quantity and was overpriced. What if I had an allergic reaction? These guys need to take their job seriously. Won't go there again and will be advising friends not to either.
