It was okay overall. Given the price, I expected a bit more in terms of facilities and service, though I understand it was a busy Christmas period.

Reception staff very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. Unit was clean. Had usual amenities,
coffee/tea, dish soap, laundry soap. Paper towels would have been nice.

Loved that parking was included.

The only thing I would point out, for some, might be an issue are the stairs. Does not matter which unit you stay in always stairs to negotiate.

Beaches on Wave, was safe, comfortable, clean with on site secure and easy parking. The Manager and staff were great and the property suited our needs. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a short stay on the Gold Coast.

The room we had was perfect for our situation. We did get small ants every night when we returned home which was very annoying. No elevator so stairs could be an issue for some people, but we were fine.

This place was ok for an overnight stay, the room was in need of a deep clean, however all the linen was clean and the bed comfortable enough.

Person on reception was not engaged, the reception area was cluttered and dirty, the toiletries in the room were empty, the bed could not be slept in, I had to sleep on the couch. Only positive was that it is close to the beach.

Super friendly staff, quite area, yet close to good dining options. Good gourmet food and wine shops, plenty of coffee options close walk away. Plus a great beach within minutes of walking.

Awesome place for a drink and some food. Cosy outdoor area. Friendly service. Amazing food especially the woodfired pizza with salmon. They didn't mind us sitting there with our dog under the table on the terrace.

We've been regulars at Barchino's for many years- but unfortunately, don't think we'll be back. The food was great as usual, but the service was terrible. We went to pay at the register and the blonde female was doing some paperwork and rudely said, 'You have to wait, I'm busy' (We hadn't even made a sound!) We stood quietly for a few minutes until she finally looked at us. Finally bill was paid, and 5 minutes later we realized she'd charged us for 2 'regular' bacon and egg meals, not the 'bacon and egg $10 special'. We were also charged for 2 hash browns, when only one was ordered. I explained this to her nicely (after she once again rudely told me 'wait, I"m busy'). When she was no longer, 'busy', I explained the situation she spoke in a rude voice (yet again), and basically accused me of lying about the meals. I felt horrendous and the table near the till were clearly listening in and that didn't help with my embarrassment. I asked the cashier to even check with the waitress- she just ignored me. She finally gave us the refund, not a word and didn't even look at us. I felt like a criminal and walked out, people staring, and we vowed we'd never return again. My family and I have previously enjoyed meals there on (an average) fortnightly basis for many yrs.

Going downhill is an understatement. After moving here nearly 2 years ago Barchino quickly became a staple for its delicious and quality lunch and breakfast options. Sadly, today will be my last visit. It seems that anything decent on their menu has given way to sloppy, cheap options. Today I was served the most flaccid, tasteless, BURNT chicken burger that consisted of a piece of well cooked chicken, limp lettuce, tomato and a blackened beyond repair brioche bun. As one of their most expensive lunch menu options I thought it would be a safe bet, but unfortunately, just as their service levels have become, it was an extremely ordinary meal. Given their fantastic position and once excellent menu, Barchino's downfall in the hope of making profit is working against them. We want the old favourite back!!

Ordered food 45 minutes ago and still waiting. Coffee was nice, had that about 20 mins ago.

Also, complimentary coffees never arrived.
Will never go back.

We obviously inconvenienced the staff arriving at 12:30 on a Saturday. Possibly the worse chicken Parma I've ever been served, nearly an hour after ordering. Partner sent her calamari back but I was too hungry.
