Not recommended if you want a pleasant stay but okayish for a single night. Our 2 person private room had no window except a small square in the ceiling and an AC. Washrooms and showers are clean enough - however, basins are placed directly in the hallway. Kitchen/dinning room is dirty and not well maintained.

Wouldn’t stay here purely based on the fact the staff member I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and hung up on me. I simply called to ask a question about supplying other ID for check in as I am Australian and don’t carry my passport while travelling. Was told that is their policy and hung up before I could even enquire further.

It was cheap and I got a room to myself. And brekky was included. And it was pretty close to stuff. They have a "fine" system. I'm not sure if it's actually technically legal or enforceable or whatever but it is fair enough. You should clean up after yourself it's not that bloody hard.

After living in this hostel for six months, I can say that despite a lack of certain amenities, it’s a great place overall. However, I want to point out that what really made this hostel enjoyable was the friendly, laid-back backpacker atmosphere. Unfortunately, that has changed since the arrival of a new staff member, Steven, who constantly acts like a police officer and, on top of that, is not even capable of doing his job properly (booking issues, misunderstandings, removing my belongings for no reason…). This person has ruined the warm, welcoming vibe that made people want to stay here.

All in all the hostel is alright. You get a relatively cheap place to sleep in a very good location. But other than that it’s not that great. Our private room didn’t have windows (only a small one in the ceiling which couldn’t be opened) and was very small. There was AC which was good. The showers and toilets were alright but not special. There was a kitchen which is very much how the kitchens are in hostels. Relaxed but not tooo clean!
Overall not that great but since there are not that many hostels in Perth and the location is good it’s a valid option!

Worst hostel ive had in 3 months. My room was next to the kitchen/living area and to the garden. There was noise all night. Beds are the worst. You’ll get no night rest here

Basic room, but clean, comfortable, well ventilated, and quiet at night. I liked that the room I stayed in had a skylight and vents to let air and natural light in despite the lack of windows.

I would have appreciated being shown around a bit more on check in as I only realised on my last day that there was an outdoor area available, when a different staff member was showing another guest around.

The location is amazingly convenient as it's near a nice park, multiple great restaurants, as well as short walking distance from a well serviced train station, Perth Cultural centre, and the CBD.
I wouldn't rate the 'free breakfast' that much as it's just tea, coffee, oats, and cornflakes, but the kitchen amenities are pretty good so I was happy to keep ingredients there and cook my own breakfasts.

Overall I would happily stay here again next time I visit Perth

Unfortunately a very small room without a window, broken bed, not that cleaned bathrooms, we didnt found the towels as well, quality unfortunately not in correlation with the price ;(

Booked a room for tonight and got to the hostel for check in. Received a confirmation email this morning, and was told when trying to check in that the booking doesn’t exist. Was told there were no rooms available and that we had to leave. Heard the receptionist on the phone with the manager saying that someone had called up and booked our room for 2 weeks, whereas we were only staying for one night, so they chose to give the room to them. Paid for booking in advance a month ago.
