Excellent service, great food, friendly, helpful staff. Location spot on. St Johann low but right in the middle of easy frequent free bus /train transfers to higher neighbours if needed. We'll be back.

Love this hotel! Sonja and the team are top class. The food is fantastic, it's clean and the rooms are great. There's a pool, saunas etc. A lovely atmosphere. We have booked for next year, it will be our 4th time. Sonia and Paul 😊👍💕

Had the best ski trip ever at this hotel. I can't fault it in any way. Location is perfect especially if skiing. One of the best locations in the town. Possibly 4 mins walk to gondola. Food is gorgeous and plenty of it. Gala dinner was amazing. The pool was a bonus at the end of a day. Heated free boot room ensured dry boots each morning. Staff are so lovely and traditionally dressed which is a lovely touch. Best suited to couples or families looking for peace and quality

This was our 2nd visit to St. Johann in Tirol for skiing in 3 years, and our 2nd time to stay at the hotel, and we weren't disappointed. It's a 5 mins walk to the ski hire shop and gondola to the slopes. Sonia and the staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much for them. The rooms were clean and warm and there was a ready supply of hot water, day and night. We stayed half board and there was a full breakfast buffet available and a 5 course dinner every evening - the food was delicious and varied. We couldn't recommend the hotel enough and can't wait to visit it again 😊

We (4 teenagers and their mothers) stayed here for a week of skiing. Lovely hotel, plenty of comfortable seats in the bar to relax. Great food. Nice sauna and pool. Staff were so nice, rooms comfortable, nice toiletries. It was a short walk to both town centre and ski lift on a quiet side road. The area felt really safe. We all loved it. Tiny negative (not worth removing a point!) was €2.50 charge per bottle of tap water in the dining room (one free if you bought a bottle of wine, they did tell us we could drink from bathroom taps but it’s nice to have cold water with dinner. Would highly recommend!

Lovely homely hotel, warm and cosy with a blazing fire to come home to in the evenings. Location was second to none, so close to the ski school and max's pub and a short stroll into the village. Fabulous service from Ostap who was attentive and pleasant. The food was very good and plentiful, I'd highly recommend this hotel for a ski trip.

Our second time staying at this absolutely first class, family run hotel. Our room was lovely and sunny with a great size balcony too. The hotel is warm and welcoming with a lovely little bar and lounge. Complimentary afternoon snacks are served between 3-5pm with sandwiches and cakes and evening dinner is amazing with salad buffet, starters, soup, mains, dessert and cheese! So much tasty food! Excellent pool open from 7am to 7pm with saunas and steam room. The staff are all extremely dedicated and so helpful. Great location for Max's Apres ski bar, Rogis and Huberbrau. 15 minutes on the train to Kitzbuhel if you fancy a more challenging ski day. I can 100% recommend this hotel and ski area. We will definitely return.

This is our second stay at the Sports Hotel Austria and once again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is extremely convenient being just a five minute walk away from ski hire, ski school and the gondola. A short stroll takes you into the beautiful town of St Johann in Tirol. The hotel has excellent spa facilities: pool, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, gym etc For skiers, there is the warmed boot /ski storage room (plus drying room should you get drenched!). Rooms are extremely comfortable and balcony views are amazing. The dining room serves delicious breakfasts and evening meal including their Gala Dinner on a Thursday. There is a comfortable bar area where afternoon / apres ski snack are served plus drinks into the night. The whole team are extremely friendly and provide a warm welcome to all.
