Hotel Edelweiss in Gerlos

Rating based on price for value. If the price wouldn't be at €350,- per night for a 2 person room, I would have rated it 3 or 4 stars. For this price I was surprised that the room had no refrigerator (and also no minibar) the room itself was clean, not very big. The shower I must admit was superb. The hotel staff was just doing their job,however in most other hotels I visited in Austria, the staff was very friendly and engaged (as opposed to just doing their thing) . The reception had no bell and was often not staffed, so you just had to wait around in the lobby to hope someone would come, I guess you could call them from your room if you need them, didn't try that. The breakfast had a queue. (breakfast started at 08u and a lot of people want to get to the first elevator at 08:30). No way of controlling the temperature in the room (neither airco nor heating). We had to leave the window open to cool the toom a bit, but that gave a lot of noise from outside. Also no radiator to dry wet gloves on. The rooms television was hardly bigger then my laptop screen. All in all not a bad hotel, but in my opinion I couldn't find anything to justify the price. A refrigerator and climate control are in my opinion things you could expect at this price range.
