Seevilla Freiberg in Zell am See

We just got back from a wonderful week's stay at the Seevilla Freiberg hotel. Everything was perfect. The location was stunning with views of the lake. The room was comfortable. The staff were attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning overlooking the lake which had a great selection of food. The free shuttle bus to the slope was handy. A delightful evening meal was a highlight of our stay. The food was very good. The spa was relaxing and not too busy. We had a lovely week and would definitely visit again.

Wonderful hotel. All staff were extremely helpful and made everything easy for us, navigating a ski holiday with 4 children. The hotel is beautiful, on the edge of town overlooking the lake, the views are amazing. Waking up to a view of the lake each morning was so wonderful. It's a 10 min walk to the centre, 15 in ski boots but there is a free ski shuttle from the hotel that you can pre book. We used this every day to go in but the 4.00 return was a bit early for us, but to walk one way, even with children felt fine. The food was absolutely fantastic and they were very accomadating of our son, who eats different foods. A buffet breakfast, then set 5 course dinner, you choose either 6.00 or 7.30 time to eat. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone smiling. Highly recommend, thank you for making a wonderful holiday.

The rooms all overlook the lake and are both well designed and comfortable. The staff are helpful and friendly when treated with respect. We spent a full week here on half board and enjoyed the meals which were varied and representative of local cuisine nicely presented. The summer card provided at the hotel and the Salzburg travel card make getting around both easy and in the majority of cases, free. I would definitely return

Fantastic hotel located on the shores of Zell Am See - every bedroom overlooks the beautiful lake - our ground floor room with its large picture window with outside decking was perfect for absorbing the beautiful scenery. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Zell am See centre and a 10 minute walk to any of the buses that take you to the cable cars for exploring the mountains - perfect!

All rooms have a lake view, so you can enjoy nature even if you are only in the room, making you happy. The breakfast is also great. However, it felt a bit far to walk from the train station with a trunk of luggage.

Great place to stay especially in summer.
Great accommodation, clean, friendly staff. Location is probably great for summer, a little out the way for winter. The ski boot room is far too get to inside.
Pillows are a little uncomfortable, but other than that everything is great.

We visited the Seevilla Freiburg in February 2025 and were not disappointed. This is the first winter holiday for us and as non skiers we were a little apprehensive about what to expect. The hotel choice was fabulous, great position on the lake and the views were amazing. The room nice and warm was kept spotlessly clean and was cleaned daily. A powerful shower with lots of hot water. There was a good daily breakfast with lots of choice and fresh coffee, this set up up nicely for the day. The evening meal was also good with several choices and a vegetarian option each night. You had to chose the next evenings meal the night before by filling in a form that was left on the table, a little odd as you do not always know what you fancy to eat the day before, but this did not take away from the quality of the food. The hotel was peaceful and quiet and although next to the train lines the trains were hardly ever heard [ even the large freight trains]. The spa area was open from 3pm daily with a god hot sauna and other steam caldarium's and a lounge area were you could relax on loungers and enjoy the lake and mountain view. The hotel is perfectly placed for the walk around the lake [12km]. if you do the walk anticlockwise wise call in the cafe am dorfplatz in Thumersbach for great coffee and cake. The hotel is also ideally situated for a short walk in to the town and the bars and shops and the main bus terminal for Kaprun and Schmittinhoe ski lifts is a steady 15 minute walk away. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Seevilla Frieburg and will definitely be going back.

Brilliant skiing trip. Hotel is clean and modern with beautiful views over the lake which is spectacular. Zell am Zee is a lovely Austrian town. Lots to do for non skiers. We were half board and Food fresh and delicious. Service good some of the time. We were rushed through dinner on 3 occasions. Drinks are too expensive especially soft drinks. E6 for a small sprite!!
