The safe in the room didn't work, so I had to keep my cash hidden in my bags. On the morning that we were checking out to go to the airport, I noticed 300 euros were missing.
Staff is very friendly, warm and helpful. Good A/C. WiFi is somewhat slow but in general it works.
Room service was a bit strange: there are no "don’t disturb" signs which you could put on a door so they’ll try to enter with a knock, one time they just entered when I was in bathroom (but promptly left when they realised it), they took away clean towels instead of dirty ones, brought more and more hair conditioners instead of used up shampoo / TP, etc. But they keep the rooms clean, so that's good.
I was surprised by the receptionist Fuad, who was at the reception incessantly 24/7 for four days in a row. I made the mistake of using his taxi call service to the airport: instead of a big car (as I asked) he called a modest hatchback, sold it to me for two prices, and also made me run with a heavy suitcase through the old city (to Shemakha gates). As a result, he greatly spoiled my overall impression (at first quite positive) about the service at the hotel.
