The Crescent Beach Hotel in Baku

My stay at this hotel was incredibly unpleasant due to the extremely rude staff and their refusal to check us in at night, despite having a valid booking. I strongly caution against choosing this hotel if you expect courteous service and the ability to access your room as planned.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. The staff was unbelievably rude, displaying a complete lack of professionalism. To make matters worse, even though we had a valid booking, they shockingly refused to check us in during the night, leaving us stranded and frustrated. I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel if you value basic courtesy and the ability to access your reserved room.

A hotel on the decline. There are many problem some of which cannot be fixed without rebuilding. The rooms. Very average decor. Good comfortable bed and good linen and towels. No air conditioning but instead they have a blower system int be place of AC that uses centralise chilled or heated water. So I. The transition between season you will either be cold or hot and you have to open the window to adjust the temperature. But the worst is the noise. The walls are thin. The floor is on a metal beam structure so people steps going up and down the stairs can be heard inside the rooms adjacent. If you are lucky and your neighbour quiet and you are not next to the stairs you can sleep peacefully. The there is the bathroom. Badly maintained, sometimes bad shower head, mouldy smell in some bathrooms. The repairs to the grouting between the tiles is badly done the taps and shower fittings are old and sometimes corroded. The hotel is out of town but only 10 to 15 minutes by taxi which is cheap. The rates were ok for a corporate discount of around 65AZN per night but the price was astronomically over priced. Food was ok but others there are key ingredients missing and the service was terrible. The hotel staff in general look like entry level trainees. Very very few speak any English and many can’t even speak Russian. If it wasn’t my company booking paying I would definitely not have stayed here for more to an one night. There was one man in the reception area who spoke good English. He was charming and extremely helpful.

I was here about the job. Placed an ad for the position of bellboy. Sent in my CV about this job and called me. Department frame again gave me a summary to fill in (probably paper they have a car). Filled it half up etc. the girl from HR Department and started to ask my hobby and despite the fact that I write that I worked in a warehouse the cleaner she thinks I'm a warehouseman worked. To her etc. the HR Department offering me all sorts of jobs,but not one that they stated in the ad and even ad. Ended this nightmare with the Director of theirs. He also explained that I worked as a warehouseman,and it gives that bellboy must be with I/o,and I asked him at the expense of the waiter, he replied that the waiter does not need them even though HR persistently offered this position. The hotel which is open since 1997 year offering the job not 8 hour,and 12 and the s/n of 300 manat. Probably in this hotel do not know the Labor Code of Azerbaijan and this is happening in many places.
