Reviews
First of all, the room we booked via Booking didn’t match the room we were given and wasn’t even in the same building. They have a separate “”Residence”” with appalling rooms.
When we entered the room, it had a strong smell of cigarette and the bathroom had not been cleaned (there were hair on the toilet and shower tray).
We’ve called in reception and we were given an alternative room only for that night, given that you were fully booked. But we were advised that we would have to go back to our original room the day after. This alternative room had barely any water pressure, the bathroom was not clean and the room overall was not clean (chewing gum stuck on the floor).
The following day, one we got back into our original room, although a bit cleaner, it still stank of cigarettes. During our stay, the room was not consistently cleaned (there were always hair in the bathroom and the sheet were not changed).
On our third night, once we got back to our room there were no towels. When we asked at reception to give us some, the first answer was to wait till the morning and wait till the morning crew arrived. Only after insisting, the receptionist sighed out two shower towels, without giving us a hand towel or a shower mat.
Throughout the stay we got stuck in the elevator several times. This is probably due to the lack on internal doors, which I was told by one of the receptionists that was the norm in Belgium. This is clearly a lie.
In addition to this, the railing of staircase of the residence is broken in some places, which makes the stairs very unsafe. On top of this, one of the days the railings were being painted without any signs around to inform residents and we got our hands and clothes dirty.
When raising all these concerns this morning upon checking out but we were met with indifference from one of the receptionists. Her customer service skills are non-existent. She insinuated that the room did not smell of cigarettes because someone had stayed there just a few hours before we arrived, which does not check out with the check-outs timings.
Her attitude was extremely off putting and was a “”perfect”” conclusion to a horrible stay. This place does not even deserve a single star, AVOID AVOID AVOID.
No services were provided when asked.
The bed that was given in the room was not at all comfortable. And the wifi from day one was not at all connecting. Very bad service.
I don’t recommend it if you travel alone, specially if you are a girl. Actually I don’t recommend it at all. Be careful!
