We stayed here in January 2026. The decor is a bit dated, but I thought it was charming. Friendly staff, clean room, great breakfast. The hotel is very centrally located. I would definitely return.

The hotel is about an 800-meter walk from Brussels North Station. It feels quite safe walking to the north station from the west along the main road, as that area is a business district

The room wasn't noisy at night either, and the small convenience store downstairs was open very late. Grand Place is just over 1 kilometer away, making it very convenient for getting around

The location of the hotel is great, and the rooms are very spacious. However, the hotel itself is quite old. One of the lights kept flickering, and there weren't many power outlets

The hotel's location is excellent, right near Rogier metro station and very close to Gare du Nord (North Station), though due to safety concerns, taking the metro is recommended

The shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom came in tiny tubes, no larger bottles. If you're staying in the area, I'd recommend the newer Thon Hotel across the street instead

Beautiful room, from the decor to the comfort. The location is perfect in the city center, with all tourist attractions within walking distance. Check-in and check-out were easy

I would definitely consider booking here again; it is within walking distance of everything and there is a parking garage nearby. The rooms were clean and fine.

This hotel has probably the best location in town. It's in the city centre next to Bruxelles-Central (Brussel-Centraal) yet extremely quiet thanks to being sandwiched between two spacious squares

It was great, the location is near the metro,the staffs are great too even if I booked last minute and arrived past 12mid. They free coffee,teas and water refilling station❤️ All facilities functions well too.

Very good hostel I stayed in 4-bed room only with 1 person,Everthing was good and clean,and staff was also friendly!! I put my luggages to luggage storage for free,that was amazing,because I’m traveling around Europe and furst time that was free!!

The bathroom is very spacious with a wet/dry separation, but the shower, toilet, and sink are all in one room, and there's only one, so you might have to wait during peak hours

the staff was friendly and easy to communicate. the room was excellent as it’s dorm and it very well placed. near all the attractions!! love it so much

The only downside is the large gap between the beds, so you can't place anything against the wall, as it will definitely fall

We stayed for two nights, and the steak restaurant directly across from the hotel entrance was amazing – delicious and not expensive, so it was incredibly convenient to grab a meal right outside

The staff were very helpful with letting me leave my baggage on my departure day until I was ready to leave. The location is perfect for visiting central Brussels; the Grand Place is only 5 minutes walk

There’s also heater in the toilet which I was quite happy about) Just one minor issue during stay, we had requested for the slipper at the front office on the first night and was told that the housekeeping was closed or something

Could give 4 stars but I’m in a good mood. Positive: The staff was very friendly. Nice breakfast. Very warm rooms. Beautiful decoration in the room. Good lightning. Negative: The room was a bit small for two people.

Overall I was quite satisfied with the hotel. The room was quite spacious, with can accommodate 2 open baggages (still leave room to walk). The amenities using were L’occitane. The heater and hot water works perfect

I stayed here for a day while visiting Brussels. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. In addition, the Wi-Fi is fast, which was very helpful. The service here is also good

Super clean and perfect location

The hotel is very close to the city centre. Very clean room and seems to be recently refurbished. The bed sheet had a tiny hole but it was nice and quiet. No telephone to call reception if needed

The location of the hotel is OK, it takes more than ten minutes to walk to the city center and the central railway station. The hotel front desk service is average, not hot or cold, and the hotel is relatively clean

I was mind blown!!! I could not believe my eyes!! It was so incredible!! I literally could not get over the suite!! Yes, it was spotless but my goodness, the suite was incredible!! Then I went to see my sister’s suite and again, my jaw hit the floor!! I felt like royalty!!! The hotel is just beyond words

We had a wonderful stay- the hotel was so convenient to the the central station, but still in a really cute area (sometimes close to train stations is a little sketchy)

The room was very large, but the kitchen was a bit dated. I know the room is supposed to be true to the period, but the kitchen had no utensils or microwave, but it did have an oven. The front desk staff was truly great

Great hotel - situated on the 9 subway so very easy to get around. Pool area is reservation only - again small. But cool that you have that all to your self. Staff very friendly and made the experience great! Thank you

Housekeeping also did a nice job. The hotel was a bit difficult to find as even our taxi driver sent us the wrong way as the hotel can't be accessed during the majority of the day as it become a pedestrian zone

Location is perfect. Huge and clean room. We have not try breakfast as it is 19 euros, but other things were great.

The hotel is superb! The price is very reasonable! The breakfasts are fantastic! Located in the heart of the old town, the interior is exquisite. 10 out of 10. I recommend it!

An excellent TV with local channels, YouTube, and Netflix. The location is wonderful - we didn't use the car at all, we walked everywhere. Great restaurants just a few steps away

All in all, this will always be our hotel whenever we go to Belgium. The hotel does not have car parking but has nearby private car parking and costs only 26 euros per day

We stayed at this hotel for a couple days based on proximity to the Grand Place and restaurants. We were a family of four, and we booked the two-level family room. Pros: Our room was ready early when we arrived

The person who checked us in was very helpful in helping us identify activities. It's a 5ish minute walk to the Grand Place with tons of restaurants. Cons: There isn't much else on the street the hotel is on

Then, when we got to the train station he said he didn't take cards and only cash. We only had American money so he took that. This wasn't the best end to our trip but it wasn't necessarily the hotel's fault

First Brussels visit Excellent experience. Check-in was courteous and efficient. We were quite early but coffee shops and restaurants conveniently close by. We stowed our luggage in a dedicated room near check-in

Lobby was comfortable enough fir a brief wait and had M/W restrooms. Rooms were well enough appointed, ckean and larger than some we’ve stayed in. Breakfast each day was excellent

Breakfast room was always clean and well staffed with ample variety, scrambled eggs, bacon, cold cuts, breads, pastries, fruit, coffe and tea

The family room is giant with a dining table for six, pullout sofa, and a kitchenette with refrigerator and hot plate and separate bedroom with king bed. There were free drinks (water, coke, beer) in the fridge

The hotel is very central, and in walking distance to the big severities in Brussels. At first glance the room and hotel looks stylish and sleek. However, there were several things that detracted from the experience

Hotel is conveniently located very close to central station, were you can get subway and trains to multiple destinations. Room was comfortable, loved that out had a small balcony

The property is very well situated, close to the Grand Place, a beautiful cathedral, and a train station. Our room had a small balcony with a table and chairs, which was a nice touch

Currently there is a lot of construction going on in front of the hotel so you'll definitely need to get up and moving earlier in the morning to avoid the noise

Coming from the eastern station, you pass through construction work, but the road to the city center is smooth.

The decor was nice and comforting. The room was comfortable with a nice view of the square. A kilometer from the Mannikan Pis, which is a nice location that is walkable and fairly quiet after hours. Would stay again.

Not cheap. Cute corner boutique hotel with modern feel, adequate for basic stay needs. Clean and fresh room, but chilly during winter with only a portable mini heater.

Location was excellent, easy walk to Christmas market and train station. Room was always clean and hotel was safe and secure.

Great location  Great rooms Big space

First night we were in a front facing room and it was so loud we could not sleep. The staff moved us to a back room and it was quiet. Room was clean. Walking distance to all the sights.

However, because it is in the city center, I could still hear a little noise at night

The room is nice but the bathroom is too small. It is very convenient to travel to Bruges and Ghent. It is also very close to major attractions. You can reach all attractions in 10 minutes on foot

Eve at the reception desk was delightful and welcoming. She arranged for our bags to be held until check in time, and also arranged for them to be carried up and down the stairs for us.

The floor is a little dirty, but it's acceptable. The merchant was very good and met my request for quietness. They arranged the quietest room for me on the top floor, facing the back street

The hotel's location is perfect.

Wonderful location to walk to most of the attractions in Brussels. Some parts of the room had low ceilings but it was a unique loft style room. Shopping and dining steps from the room

Clean no frills Hotel in City Center. When we stayed it was very quiet and we had a good sleep

The location is the best. You can walk to every tourist spots in city center.

It is alright for a night or two but the rooms are quite small so would not recommend it for longer stays where you might need more space.   I would stay again though and recommend it ☺️

A quiet corner with literally all of Brussels within reach

The rooms are beautiful, the bathroom and shower are excellent, the place has been recently renovated and the bed is very comfortable. However Les Ecrins is not a hotel and doesn't offer any service like a hotel would do

I picked this hotel on purpose because I saw there was Spanish service at the front desk. I was very happy to meet the girl at the front desk on the day of check-in. She was actually a Cuban immigrant

She was very welcoming and we chatted a lot. There was free coffee at the front desk. I would stay here again if I had the chance
