I have stay at JW rio I found this hotel is newer, budget friendly and better view compared to JW, the staff gave us a free upgrade which we appreciate a lot. The view was amazing, the location was very convenient, walking distance to one of the shopping mall. The only thing that I’m not satisfied was their breakfast I know it’s not fair to compare it with JW, otherwise I’m very satisfied overall

Very young and recent hotel but of low quality. Not worth the price paid. The best thing about the hotel is the rooftop. It's all very dark and the rooms are small for the type of hotel classification. Average breakfast for the stars you have. Of the 3 hotels I tried on this vacation in Brazil, this was the weakest and I paid the same as the others.

The location was excellent, center of Rio Copacabana. The bathroom fixtures were a little dated. Breakfast was good for starting day. Overall a great place to stay to enjoy the beach and surrounding areas.

Unfortunately, the hotel didn't give us the room we booked. When you book a superior room, it's 26 square meters, not 20 square meters. So be careful and check your room before accepting.

The hotel has a great location, but the food is not a wao thing and it’s very expensive. You can eat and drink outside nearby for much less. Avoid eating the meat at the restaurant as it’s not good, we had picana and filet mignon one night and both were very hard and chewy. We really enjoyed our stay at Americas hotel. The service was amazing and in particular, Daniella who helped us out throughout maintaining a vibrant energy. The staff were warm and polite, and the hotel was not far from the beach, making it convenient to visit the Christ the Redeemer statue and Sugarloaf Mountain.

The hotel was okay. We had a flood in our room and asked for some compensation for the inconvenience, but we were ignored. Our clothes got wet, but they washed them for free.

For a hotel of the same price, the service and breakfast are average. When checking out, if you want to store your luggage for more than an hour, you will be charged 40 reais (I forgot the exact amount, but it's about the same price anyway); the internal facilities are just so-so.

The hotel is near the main street, but it is very quiet at night. The local airport is within easy reach and the breakfast was good. Satisfied with the staff's service attitude, the cleanliness is acceptable.

The hotel is very nice and it's close to the airport. It only takes ten minutes to walk there. Our room faces away from the airport, so we can't hear any noise at all. The breakfast in the hotel is also very good. They even extended our check-out time to 2 p.m., allowing us to go back to the room to take a shower and rest for a while.

Wifi is extremely slow in rooms. You can't do any Zoom meeting at all. If you are traveling for business, expect that you won't be able to do reliable Zoom meeting.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. It's within biking distances of Copacabana beach and the sugar loaf mountain. Also just a quick crossing from Botafogo beach. Super markets and good restaurants are also only walking distance. Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in Rio but has a quiet enough place to sleep. Most hotels around Ipanema or Copacabana are rather loud in the evening.

Hotel location was great, just off Botafogo beach (unfortunately you have to cross2 bust roads to get to the beach, but so does every other hotel) and 10 minutes walk to the Metro. Hotel breakfast was good and room kept very clean. Service from restaurant staff was exceptional.

When your travel for business, in general, your clothes need to be with a well presentation, however the hotel doesn't have at least an iron in the room, the hotel must put some iron in the room, it is really necessary.

Nothing special. Small outdated rooms. First room had strong smell, therefore, asked for a room change. Second room was better. Two single beds instead of one king-size, though. Kettle in the room was broken. Rooms have no view at all. Supermarket is next door. Shopping center with great views to Botafogo beach is two blocks away.

Rooms were good.. not really as large or as nice as the online photos. Restaurant was not good.. menu was inaccurate, food bland, and brought us the wrong dishes on two occasions.

The staff were lovely, absolutely wonderful; the location, unsurpassable. In terms of the amenities, however, this was four-star in name only. The gym was a perfunctory affair, with enough space for no more than two people to work out at once, and the swimming pool was diminuitive. Hotel is good, breakfast the same every day but if you are staying up to 4 days, you will be fine. They are flexible on check out time. Pool ultra small never used. Elevator may take some time to catch in peak hours. All in all worth it

Actually much beyond my expectation. Very good WiFi connection. Very near to the Metro station. Comfortable shower room. Most importantly in general feel quite safe to stay here. The route to the metro station is also a generally safe one (maybe in the evening use Uber to further lower the risk.) Recommend to people who want to discover the historical region of the city more!

It is a very convenient hotel 10 seconds away from the beach and a few restaurants. Staff are amazing! The only downside is that mosquitos are a lot here. But overall, it is a highly recommended hotel to live with.

This hotel is 20 feet from the beach, which is amazing but that has its drawbacks. The general area isn't great transportation or tourist safety. There is a police 'station' right next to it but it's only operational during the day. There are condos being built on 2 sides of the hotel which can be noisy during the week. For the price I don't think you're going to find a better deal though.

The accommodation is just a minute from the beach, and the service is spectacular. We'll be back.

Lovely spot, great staff, rooftop was brilliant. Housekeeping was the only disappointing part - had to ask for things to be replaced, had some hairs left in the bathroom when it was cleaned (I’m bald!) and never had any bottled water.

Good hotel for the price, although the location isn't perfect it's not that bad, attentive staff.

The room had a problem with a clogged bathroom sink, the smart TV froze during broadcasts, making it impossible to watch, and other channels also had a delay, negatively impacting the entertainment experience. The air conditioning leaked. The delay in changing rooms caused me to lose 3 hours. The phone service and room service delivery were slow. Overall, a poor experience, which led to this low rating

This hotel is beautiful, private, moody and has the best views of Ipanema! The rooftop pool alone is worth the price of the hotel. Such stunning views and very comfortable. The rooms are a bit dark and moody on the courtyard side, but the real charm of the hotel is the Ipanema location and the rooftop. Honestly the beach is nicer further down close to posto 5. But I guess this is also by the beach. Just be careful when booking a room - if it doesn’t mention sea view you will be facing another building. This should be made clearer in room descriptions. The sheets are a luxurious cotton sateen. Right on the beach. The room we had was fantastic, the rooftop pool and bar were excellent and the included breakfast was great each day. They have a spot on the beach as well with chairs and umbrellas for guest if you need them. The staff were helpful, friendly and courteous. No problems at all.

The location is very close to copacabana beach. However the beach is not as great as what their popularity had.

The location is great, however, the hotel is very old and needs some renovations. This hotel maintains a consistent level of service. Excellent reception, good breakfast, but they occasionally fail to replenish it. Clean rooms, but generally the paint is faded. Everything works in the room, so for the Lapa area in Rio de Janeiro, it's a hotel above average. But it could be better with attention to the infrastructure.
