Rio De Janeiro, Av. Nossa Senhora de Copacabana, 552 (8 km from centre) 🧭 Map
best hotel we stayed during our 13 day family trip in Brazil, in every nice neighborhood and walking distance to a nice japanese resturant . staff speak english well, which is great. close to CGH but only 35 mins in the moring to GRU as well.
The staff was really nice. They allowed us to check in early. The breakfast was excellent, we always looked forward it every morning. The location is close to the beach and the rooms were comfortable.
Good location in the middle of everything you need, clean rooms, great breakfast and staff are there to help you if you need something. I had an early flight at check in and even we had to wait until 2:00 pm they have a place to keep your bags, same thing at check out they allowed us to use the facilities, gave us towels to go to the beach and keept our luggage all day until it was time for us to go...
A typical three-star Rio on the 3rd line from the beach, just to wait out the price flurry in hot times. The breakfast is meager, but that's standard for Brazil.
The hotel is in a good location, just a few minutes walk from the beach, but there is nothing to see at Copacabana Beach, and there is a lot of garbage. The standard twin room I booked has an exterior window in the photo, but it is actually an interior window and will not be replaced. There are no toiletries, the quilt is a thin sheet, and if you need a blanket, you need to go to the front desk to...
Very cozy and clean hotel. Only the pool, which is not very big, but is two blocks from the beach. Very good breakfast and service!

The front desk is very helpful and we have a great stay at this hotel
The location is fantastic, close to both Ipanema and Copacabana, and with a laundromat right in front.
The staff were friendly and attentive to our requests.
The hotel is clean and well-maintained. However, the building itself showed signs of age in places. We stayed for three nights, but the toilet paper wasn't replenished by the cleaning service, so we had to call reception early in the morning to...
Everything was ok. I've been there while carnival, the price was quite ok. Location is very convenient. I recommend. A bit old furniture, but for it was not a problem.
Great location but the bed was really hard. It was like sleeping on bricks
The hotel is very convenient and centrally located. The staff is super friendly and helpful! We're happy we spent a night here and will definitely be happy to return next time!
Everything was excellent. Great staff. You can book directly with the hotel (friends can also even if they are not staying in the same hotel). Amenities are great with a nice rooftop pool. The restaurant is five star food. The location is a 5 minute walk from Copacabana beach and an 8 minute walk from Ipanema beach.

Rio De Janeiro, Rua Artur Bernardes, 39 (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Pretty basic. Breakfast and cleanliness wasn’t impressive but does the job for a couple of nights for cheap accommodation. Bathroom was mouldy.
The location is good and convenient. The breakfast is OK, with a wide variety of fruits. The soundproofing of the room is not good, mainly due to the door of the room, and the voices outside are very clear. The hot water for bathing is good.
We stay quite often in the Rio Petit hotel when travelling to Rio: it offers a good location (close to metro and a short car ride to both South Zone and Downtown Rio) at a very decent price. Staff is very friendly and breakfast was of good quality.
A hotel with a very good location, excellent facilities, everything very clean, the dining room super nice and with a very varied and delicious breakfast, the staff very friendly along with the receptionists a 10 out of 10.
The hotel is new, has soundproof windows. Good bed and good internet. Service is attentive and courteous. Good quality breakfast (could start at 6am instead of 6:30am, for those who work this is important).
location is good just 5 minutes walk to metro station.
many food restaurants around. room is small but acceptable. bed sheet and towels dated. Breakfast included but good enough.
reception has great service and helping us a lot

Rio De Janeiro, Rua Barata Ribeiro nº 544, Copacabana (8 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Quite old hotel. English speaking reception. Bed not that comfortable as I got back pain after sleep. Power supply quite bad.
I like that this place was located in a good part of Copacabana. I felt safe and quite comforable. Staff were alright and they spoke English for the most part. The mountain view was awesome as I was able to see the christ the redeemer statue.
Firstly, deluxe room wasn’t deluxe at all. Same as the standard room in all it entirety. They blankets were old and didn’t have a casing. The towel if you hold them up to the light you could see through them. The room had mold. It was an horrible stay. Also had to pay for them to keep your bags ( I was only surprised by this- not really a complaint). This wasn’t a four star stay , more like a two stars...
The place is fine but not 4 stars. Could be a little cleaner. Service was good, the staff was friendly and helpful. Sometimes there is no hot water, depends on the day. Very few amenities.
It's a cheaper option for the location, which is excellent. A good value considering this.
Understaffed. Location is superb. Mini bar prices are average. Breakfast is included and is a 10/10. Overall good experience
Great location and the staff at the reception was polite and professional. Overall good value for money. However: the mould in the toilet should be removed and the cleaning crew forgot to clean the floor a couple of times.

Good location staff warm welcome
The hotel looks okay, but the floors in the room aren't washed or even swept. The first five minutes of walking around the room leave your feet black and sandy. They also stole my shorts, and the receptionist said they couldn't access the cameras, claiming the company maintains them remotely. They didn't even bother to look into it. It's really disappointing to see guests treated this way.
Internet was a bit spotty for me but worked well for my sister. We noticed a mini bar can of soda had exploded and we mentioned in on checkout and they got upset we hadn’t immediately notified them. Otherwise enjoyed our stay as it is centrally located and the area felt pretty safe.
The breakfast was very poor, with no variety, and the bathroom in the room looked like a hospital bathroom! If you weren't careful, the shower water would spill out, soaking the entire bathroom and potentially causing an accident for the guest.
The accommodation was very good, we were very well received and the lodging was excellent. The location was also good, a very safe street and close to the beach, restaurants and pharmacies.
Average hotel, average to poor breakfast. I'm thin and the mattress springs were noticeable. The receptionists were excellent.

The hotel’s facilities are a bit dated, but everything is kept clean with daily housekeeping, which I really appreciated. What truly stood out to me, though, was the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious—far better than I expected—and I found myself enjoying every meal there without needing to go out. It was a pleasant surprise and easily the highlight of my stay. On top of that, the staff...
Perfect beach location away from the crowds. Perfect surf spot that is friendly. Over a dozen great tattoo parlor that are super cheap but the artists are next level. The food is ok, but 99 can get you anything from anywhere.
A nice hotel right on the beach. The outdoor parking garage needs signage to guide guests.
We had a great experience hosting our company offsite at this hotel. The food was excellent, and the service was even better — attentive, professional, and always willing to help. The overall quality, attention to detail, and level of care truly stood out.
The rooms were comfortable, the facilities were well maintained and well suited for both work and rest, and the view was beautiful.
Thank you to...
Stayed at this hotel for four days in August, very clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast is huge and offers sweet and savoury. Staff may not speak much English, but they are very helpful and nice. I especially recommend taking the tour of Rio with Giuliano!! Just ask for him at reception and they’ll give you the number, or look him up online at “Giu turismo Rio De Janeiro”. Building looks new but bedding was old and out of order
I felt compelled to leave a review after seeing some of the recent reviews regarding noise and cleanliness of the rooms
I spent a while reviewing options for my stay in Rio. The main tourist areas aren’t inexpensive, so I found myself trying to decide do I book at Bossa Nova which was a bit more economical, or splurge for a more expensive hotel
Ultimately, my thriftiness prevailed, and I opted for...
Recommended accommodation in an excellent location.
Good hotel with that price. Breakfasts are good but not many options.
Furniture is little old.
The hotel rooms are not the cleanest.
The tile on the bathroom wall were dirty. And the mattress was a FRIGHT under the flat sheet that is folded. I slept on top of my duvet and felt just fine. The hotel is often used by “content creators”
The hotel is in a great area and walkable to the beach on both sides. It was cheap, so I was happy with everything.
Great location. Not very clean.

Breakfast left much to be desired: old fruit, dry cakes and bread, dirty juice dispenser and toaster, loud and bad music by the pool, a difficult-to-configure TV, and a faulty air conditioning remote. But the most serious issue was that some items were missing from our luggage; apparently, we were robbed...
Great location, clean, good service.
Excellent value for money.
The hotel is good, it has a deck with a nice view. The rooms are well-equipped but basic (towels, sheets). It was sufficient for one night. The room overlooked the parking lot. It's a bit inconvenient to go to Barra and the beach without a car. Long walk or public transport required. But it was adequate.
The only downside was the bathroom renovation. They installed the glass shower enclosure too close to the toilet. You have to stand to the side to use it... but overall it was perfect. I recommend it.
Under par
Had my employees stay at this hotel and they didn’t like it at all. Bad service and accommodations really under par

The hotel is ok. The breakfasts are monotonous and can get boring if you stay for a long time, but people usually stay 4-5 nights. The staff is attentive, the hotel is clean, the elevator is very noisy, but it's livable. The dining room staff is very helpful and optimistic. The maids are good, and the reception is a plus. Everything is close by. I recommend it.
Easy access to Copacabana. Conveniently located near many shopping and dining establishments. The rooftop pool offers a great view of the beach and Ponzi Asuka. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I was very satisfied. I would definitely stay again.
The hotel is a bit old, however it is clean and centrally located in Rio. It is quite close to shops, bars and restaurants and about a 3-block walk to Copacabana beach. I recently stayed at the Hotel Itajuba in Rio and had a generally positive experience. It's a solid choice for travelers looking for a well-located, large hotel with good value.

Great experience! The hotel staff was always attentive. 100% reception service. Excellent cleanliness, both in the room and common areas! Everything that needed to be resolved was resolved! The staff are very friendly. The hotel itself is comfortable, but the double bed is made up of two small mattresses, so when sleeping, they separate, creating a hole. The street is very noisy. The hotel is nice inside, but the street is very dirty, smells bad, and is full of homeless people.

Loradio and Mario were amazing to deal with. Very grateful for their help. As for the hotel it’s in a good location but I could hear constant mechanical noise from my room and the rooms are outdated. However service from staff seems wonderful.
We like the hotel. Bedrooms was clean the girls from the reception was amazing did a great job. Excellent location good breakfast only bad thing was the towels bad smell. Everything was working well.
The localization here is the key - you are just on the beach front. The room cleanes was disappointing. Furniture had some water damages. Breakfast was satisfying but sometimes very crowded - that you couldn't get a place.

Noisy hotel, due to the structure of the building.
This hotel is located on Copacabana Beach. It's a clean, four-star hotel with a great breakfast. The rooms and bathrooms are also very spacious and large. I highly recommend it.

This hotel is very convenient for travelers arriving late or have to wait for family to arrive the next day. The restaurant is great and they have a nice full buffet Brasilian breakfast. I’ve used the hotel several times and will do so again. They also offer a free shuttle from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2
It was abit far from the airport we are going to but still not bad.
Room was near and tidy but lacked any amenities. No kettle or glasses. No filtered water forcing you to buy from the mini bar.
The room was quiet but had no view - actually had no windows.
Breakfast buffet was actually tasty and enjoyable, with a selection of cold cuts, cheese and sweet bread plus eggs and sausages, juice and coffee.
To access the hotel, you can wait for the shuttle bus or walk...

Super clean hotel. Good bed and sheets. Super strong hot shower. It's an old fashioned hotel, this is not a problem, but it comes with the environment of its characteristics.

Absolutely fantastic: location, welcome, breakfast, room service, cleanliness, security
The room had a persistent smell. The bathroom, besides being tiny, wasn't very clean. The showerhead, full of limescale, produced very little water. Breakfast was good.
AC unit wasn’t running properly when I got there. But it worked fine the 2nd day, maybe the remote control batteries were old. The bathroom was minuscule, and the toilet bowl was running a little water. They need to maintain their facilities better. The staff was friendly and professional, kudos to them!

It’s the most convenient location for the fencing championship. We love it and the big space for the family. The sofa bed is also comfortable.
Very clean room and excellent staff
The hotel is relatively new, with a plentiful breakfast and spacious rooms. While the location is a bit far from tourist attractions, it's ideal for business trips, especially for attending trade shows, as it's close to the exhibition center. Recommended.
The hotel does not provide sandals for walking around the room or using the toilet; you will need to bring your own or walk around the room barefoot.

Very nice hotel, close to good places and the Copacabana beach.
The room is far older than the pictures provided here on the trip.com. Also the smell of the bedding is not so good.
Room 1405 on the top floor has serious temperature problems.
The window panes are broken and only 6 mm thick. This is a security issue.
You also have to take two elevators to reach it, and my key was reset three times.
Even so, it was clean, reasonably priced, and conveniently located, which is what we wanted.
Simple, Clean, Honest breakfast. 1 block from Copacabana beach and easy to get around. Second elevator was on repair and caused some time loss.
Staff quite helpful. I better Poor TV/movies channels.
The location is ideal and the hotel is very nice. The gym wasn't working, and the breakfast was delicious, but the air conditioning was very strong (bring a coat).
The room I was assigned was an older room compared to the photos which showed modern design . I called the receptionist and he said the photos were illustration purposes only.
The cold water knob in the shower was broken and there was mildew all over.
They charge for storing suitcases! I traveled to 80 countries and this is a rare payment.

Cheap but terribly loud outside from the generators even earplugs won’t help.
Great hotel. Amazing location, lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Good breakfast, friendly staff. Rooftop pool. Recommend.
This hotel is by no means a 4-star establishment; a 2-star pousada would be better equipped. The only thing that deserves 4 stars is the location. The breakfast is at best okay, but not good or very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is substandard, and the bathroom is horrendous, moldy, and filthy. See photos.
Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast. Nice terrace with pool. Some details need updating. This is my second time and I'll be back.
Pretty nice hotel bear Copacabana beach - next to Sugar Loaf hill and close to Christ the Redeemer. Nice size room, didn’t get to try the breakfast which looked delicious. AC was a bit aged made a bit of noise inside, but no big deal, must have been a one off. Good place, good stay, close to all the tourist spots!!!
