The Hotel is a bit old and could have a small renovation. But it's in a good location and the staff is amazing.

The hotel leaves something to be desired in terms of pest control. The facilities need updating, but other than that we had no major problems. We didn't have breakfast because of the time difference, so I can't rate this service.

The hotel is a wreck! The breakfast is not very good! The staff is disgusting!

For a 3 star Hotel, the room was huge, free breakfast every day, which had a great array of food for every nationality. Small upper deck pool, but it was great to relax in. The only thing we missed was not having a kettle to make tea/coffee whenever we wanted. Staff were very approachable and friendly.

This hotel could do better. The pool is closed except during the day which is very annoying. Many rooms have two small single beds and they didn’t tell us until we found out that they could make them into a single queen bed. Special thanks to Philip and Jasmine who work the front desk. Philip helped us get our room earlier than check in time which was great sunce we arrived at 6 a.m. What I didn't like was the inability of English speaking members of staff who worked in key areas. This caused communication issues or misunderstandings. The area felt safe and there are two supermarkets on either side of the hotel

Hotelbsupee is well located, allowing for a pleasant walk around the area. Access to the beach is a bit further as you have to cross the lagoon, but everything is free and enjoyable.

Excellent hotel, large and well-ventilated rooms. Very attentive and always helpful staff. The hotel has a gym, swimming pool, reliable taxi contacts, and an on-site restaurant. The only downside is the restaurant's price, but there's a good variety of shopping malls and restaurants nearby.

I asked to change my room, and they changed it without any problems. I asked for a working safe, and everything was done the next day. The food is buffet style. No one will go hungry. The location is close to the metro and the famous Cilaron staircase.

This hotel is 10/10 can’t fault one thing, please  don’t read the reviews , located on one of Rio’s best beaches by far better any others near by, no restaurants around hotel but you can get Ubers for very cheap , 10 mins to barra or leblon highly recommend great value for money in Rio

The hotel's location is superb, very close to the Obelisco, Teatro Colón, and El Ateneo Grand Splendid. It was the only hotel on our South America trip that allowed early check-in and late check-out. They also helped us arrange a taxi, definitely recommended!

The hotel is good, but the toilets are small and inconvenient. The window latches are broken, so you can hear the street noise all night. The breakfasts are good and the staff is friendly.

The location is good, a 3-4-minute walk from Copacabana Beach. Breakfasts are delicious and nutritious. The front desk is open 24 hours a day. The only issues are the condition of the air conditioning in the room (very loud and worn out) and the visiting policy (no guests allowed, even temporarily; an additional fee is required for each guest).

I had a very busy five day schedule and the Hotel Nacional did an excellent job in providing me with lodgings that allowed me to focus on the work I had to do. It made me comfortable not only in body but in spirit. Staff were very friendly, accessible, and competent. I recommend the establishment very strongly without any concerns.

Old hotel, and in terms of construction and facilities it is very outdated and clearly showing the marks of time. However, it has a team of employees and a service that overcomes the shortcomings, so that I feel at home there... It is fair to say that it is a good hotel, with good service and a great breakfast.

Excellent hotel with a strong commitment to ecology. Excellent breakfast menu: choose one combo or two dishes, and unlimited drinks (juice, water, coffee, etc.). The hotel provides complimentary beach towels, and at Ipanema Beach Zone 101, they provide free beach chairs and umbrellas.

I stayed in their sweet with the jet tub which was very nice and the staff in general was very nice. The breakfast was okay but the only issue was the weakness of the Wi-Fi in the room. I had a lot of problems with getting a signal and was a having very difficult time trying to make plans and organize because of the inconsistency of the Wi-Fi. We booked suite rooms with hot tubs. Rooms have much more space than we thought. Breakfast was great. They have varieties for breakfast, fresh fruits, and strawberry yogurt. Overall experienced were good.

Staff was fantastic, great suggestions for what to do. Was a little disappointed with my room. I thought I’d paid for a balcony but got a patio instead so not much of a view. The location everyone already knows is in the middle of the woods. Very cozy. I went for my husband's birthday. We loved it and are trying to go back for an overnight stay on my birthday, but booking is very difficult. There's never a vacancy. The food is wonderful! Haute cuisine restaurant.

This is my second time here, and it’s always a pleasure. The wifi has improved immensely since my last visit, which was a pleasant surprise. Charles is a huge help and takes care of his guests, but all the staff is wonderful. The view of the beach is unparalleled.

I stayed on the second floor. Given the security situation in Brazil, after checking my room, I found the balcony door lock was broken. I had to use my phone charging cable to tie the handle and make a knot. Luckily, it was only for one night, so I just let it go.

The facility is old. The water pressure is strong and it is not far from the beach, so you can get there in 10 minutes on foot.

A nice central hotel with basic facilities. Reception and other stafs were nice. However, this is not a three stars hotel as claimed on their listing. Breakfast should be improved but certainly it was not bad.

Rooms quite small, specially bathrooms, but great breakfast and location, close to a museum and an aquarium, at the center of all of Rio, great place but if you're looking for a comfortable hotel, there might be better places to look for.
