Spa Hotel Planinata in Ribarica

This hotel gives really mixed feelings. Outside it looks good. Inside is ok-kind of. The rooms are not cleaned often. The service and kitchen are bad -the personal is not enough. And the SPA is a joke-a mere 3x5m pool. Definitely does not justify the price. Overall the whole place feels a bit outdated and uncosy.

No AC and room was hot until 23:00. No wifi in room. No room cleaning during stay, so we had dirty towels and full trash cans and had to refill toilet paper at the front desk. Pool was nice. Room was clean. Restaurant was good but strong sulfur smell in seats further from building. This would all be okay if it were cheap, but was somewhat expensive for BG standards. No other restaurants or attractions walking distance from here. Next time we would stay in downtown Tetevan instead.

Dirty,smelly and outdated. I visited with my parents and took a an apartment. It was spacious but dirty and had bad smell. They have no air conditioning. The rooms are spacious and there was a fridge. The only positives I can say about this hotel. I took pictures of the balcony which wasn’t cleaned for months. It was disgusting. The pool is very small and when 6 kids are inside,it’s impossible to swim. I didn’t go to the indoor spa and can’t tell how that was. I didn’t eat there either but my parents had lunch and breakfast next day and said it was just ok. The parking area is tight but there was enough space for a full hotel. I wouldn’t recommend.

It's an OK place. The village and the view make up for almost everything:
Awful sewage smell from the bathrooms (my colleagues during the team building also complained) and saw mold around the pipe under the sink. Water in the shower has somewhat weak pressure. Beds are just fine but that's a personal taste, some may find them too hard. Balcony has nice view on the pool and garden. Outside pool is great! Clean water but I wish it didn't have that stupid secondary square pool next to it, rather than having the whole length 2-3 meters longer. The inside pool could use a better ventilation for the humidity and chlorine smell. Some stylistic decoration too , it's really boring to stay in. Sauna is great. Restaurant is also fine. The girl who served and also worked at the garden bar is really nice and dedicated. Not willing to say the same about the ladies behind reception. A whole star down for non POS terminal payments. It's 2022.

Beds are uncomfortable and the bed sheets come off the bed. Not too clean, and restaurant quality and service is subpar.

Although its name says SPA Hotel, the SPA area is very much neglected. The staff is not very helpful and is rarely where you would expect to find them. No music in the restaurant. The hygiene is not up to standard - I found a cup with a lipstick mark among the ones put on the table for making coffee in.

The bathroom smelled strongly like sewage and had mold on the soap holder. Totally unacceptable. The bedsheets were not the right size for the mattress and the towels had stains on them. The steam room was dirty,outdated and smelled like sewage. Horrible. The pool was ok. The only good thing was the amazing view of the pool and mountain from our balcony.
