I reserved two rooms at the Kashmir five months before arrival, and received a confirmation. A month before my arrival I received an Email telling me that the reservation was canceled due to a private event . In other words , we were kicked out because the hotel found a better financial profit not respecting our reservation. They rudely enough offered a 10% discount if I reserve again at another date. I wrote them back an angry email and they asked for my phone no. In order to “clarify” things . They never called of course. In any similar case any hotel should have at least suggested anther similar accommodation or a compensation of some sort. This hotel never did and just left me a month before my vacation with no suggested option . I find it most disappointing, rude and suffering of a complete lack of customer service attitude. I will never try to reserve this hotel because I can’t trust it and if you ever want to reserve it try to remember the possibility that your vacation might be ruined just like mine did .

This is easily the most gutting ‘5-star’ experience I’ve ever had. As the only other property outside of Sofia to hold a MICHELIN Key, this place has turned that distinction into an utter farce. The moment I arrived, I was surprised to find no ramp for trolleys or wheelchairs. I’ve no clue how mobility- or gait-impaired guests, and even those with heavy luggage, are expected to enter. The rooms were spacious, the spa and gym were also well-equipped. The only positives end here. Our floor was marred by a large stain, as was the top hand towel in the bathroom. The toilet paper was folded like a toddler did it (better left as is). The shower window seal was nonexistent - water leaked freely, turning the bathroom into a pool after every use. On top of these petty details, there’s the audacity of rationing coffee capsules per guest and charging €2 for each extra. I thought that was the floor until I requested an iron - €100 deposit, no ironing board. Guests are simply piggy banks here. The lamp switches were nowhere near the bed, all placed in the corners of the room. The balcony doors cannot be closed from the outside. Every space in the hotel hovers around 30°C+, making it impossible to enjoy a cold beverage, let alone eat comfortably. This may feel appropriate to accompany the creepy goat-painting decor, but not for humans. Foodwise, the salad bar was generous but rarely offered a vegan option. The mains were frequently dry and flavourless, with sauces that congealed rather than complemented them. The restaurant has two or three hostesses, yet not once was I shown to my table. I was always left navigating through the dining maze myself. To the management: with the margin you’re operating on, a research trip to Southern or Western Europe to familiarise yourselves and actually enjoy what minimum hospitality standards feel like would be money better spent than whatever fiasco you are running here.

The biggest advantage of this hotel is that it’s adults only, which makes a big difference. The service was good overall, and you can tell the staff is genuinely trying to meet international luxury standards, but they need more training to do so. The spa is spacious and nicely designed, though it can get quite busy around the pool on weekends since there aren’t many sunbeds available. Our room was large and comfortable, but it was located at the very end of the hotel, which meant a long walk to everything. We also had issues with noise from the room next door, as they were partying all night. This is something that was unfortunate, though not really the hotel’s fault.

this is a true 5 star hotel. big luxurious rooms, a wonderful spa, a lot of comfortable public space. the staff is friendly, helpful, professional. the disappointment rose from the food for which the hotel is famous. the buffet is very rich but not one dish was outstanding. most of the dishes that should be served hot, like scrambled eggs, bacon, pies....where cold or lukewarm at best. the meat served on the main course was generally cold and chewy. for me quantity is not a substitution of quality. some words about the decor. the main motive is black! every thing, floors, walls,toilets, eating plates is black. illumination is kept very low. walking endless dark coridors is opressing. maybe this is to create a feeling of elegance, for me it was depressing. again, this is personal and i think that most of the guests enjoy the ambiance.

We came to Kashmir hotel to have lunch with our 7 year old son. Unfortunately we were turned away before we even got to the door, we were told that children are not allowed anywhere on the hotel complex land. This policy is not written anywhere on the hotel’s website and I was not told this when I called to reserve. Very poor communication.

I really don't understand why the owners don't update the information about the hotel. It is a top 5 stars hotel, not 3 stars as it is written. I've been to 34 countries, and this is the best mountain hotel ever been to. It has also some Michelin accreditations. The service and the facilities in the hotel are the same level as the top 5 stars hotels in the Alps.

Kashmir is most likely the best SPA resort in Bulgaria (together with Zornitza). The facility is great, SPA zone is also outstanding, it is very clean & very cozy. You can't go wrong with them.
The half board is great, the food is delicious and the staff is smiling and friendly. One downside is they don't have bidet shower in the restrooms. Besides of that, the rooms are also cozy and comfortable. The mattress was on the soft side, which I personally dislike, but it's a matter of a personal preference. One think you should definitely experience are the small pools with hot mineral water in the forest.
Overall - a real 5 star experience, which is worthy the higher price.
