We had a wonderful holiday here. The hotel is very close to the beach and it also has swimming pools. The staff is professional and friendly, there’s a big variety of tasty food and many types of drinks. Rooms are spacious, we stayed in the apartment facing the sea and the view was amazing.

The rooms are very outdated and not so clean. The air conditioning on the 5th floor was very weak in the room. The food was not the best, not well cooked. The barman in the outside bar was very unfriendly. I don't know what they understand under ultra all inclusive, but the aoft drinks like coca cola and normal beers were not free, only from the drink machines the cheap and watered soft drinks. The restaurant was small for so much people, and often you had to wait in the row to get some better food. The location is ok, but the rest I can not say.

If you are cockroach and insects friendly person then it is a nice hotel.
I had a terrible experience on a 5 day stay with this. I have changed 2 rooms and still insects were all over.
The all inclusive food it has a wide variety and tastes good. Drinks are basic but ok.
The upper rooms have beautiful view but the lower ones not, view to swimming pool or to other hotel buildings, like the restaurant.
Room cleaning you had to ask for it, and they gave new towels and water.
To my opinion the allocated stars are not the real ones, the location might help on that.

We have been in Kaliakra Beach in May 2025 again.
Everything has been fine. Clean and nice room (Superior) with a great view.
A very nice location, direct at the black sea.
Good and tasty food and drinks at the bar.
Very nice and friendly staff. Special thanks to housekeeper Adriana, who was solving a little problem in a second and in a very motivated way..

Extremely DISAPPOINTED. While the hotel itself is good, we had a situation that required the staffs help. During our stay, on our first day in the morning, we told the cleaning staff that we do not want our room cleaned. We were out of the room all day and when we got back there was an item in the room that did not belong to us. The room itself has not been cleaned so an excuse like the cleaning staff has forgotten it is absolutely horrendous. We reported it and were met with absolutely no understanding. What feeling of security should we get if people could simply enter rooms and do whatever they like? It is disturbing that the people at the reception do not care. The cleaning staff were the only one that tried to figure out what happened while they were not to blame at all. The people at the reception are under total critique. Only the first lady that took our complain was good, but she was not on shift the next time we went to check for updates.

Cant fault hotel, staff and food but came in October and everywhere is shut no entertainment no buses just taxis £30 one way into Varna and again not a lot to do. Beach is nice and clean I wouldn't come again this time of year

Interesting place. The hotel is well located right on the beach and we upgraded to an executive sea view room from a standard sea view room for 21 leves (a little over £9) a night. They initially wanted 42 leves a night but with a little pushing the price halved. They are bigger and have excellent sea view and balconies.we can clearly see the sea from our bed. We are hear right at the start of the season and the rest of albena is very quite. The food is good and more varied then most having had, chicken; duck, beef, lamb,pork, mussels, king prawns, tuna stakes and shark. As well as all the usual things. A good 7 out of 10 food wise but an 8 out of 10 for all inclusive. They have 4 bars and they serve decent brands and cocktails but they are all pretty small and I have absolutely no idea how they would cope when full in the high season.
Some staff are friendly enough and most have a basic bit of english. But it's not an "english" hotel. Seem far more for germans and Romanians (less then an hour to the boarder). Be aware Albena is very much a resort on it's own (there must be over a dozen hotels etc) but everything here in the resort is geared to getting your pennies and the prices are really high for Bulgaria. Even a 15 minute taxi to the nearest town is £30 return and the so called supermarkets on the resort are sometimes twice uk prices (and 4 times normal Bulgaria prices).
Finally the hotel is clean and well kept.

Albena used to be one of the most greenish peaciful resorts in Bulgaria... Now it's just a loud Romanian village.. And what is tearing my heart away is that Albena likes it.. Caters for them, sings and dances with them.. Loudly

The hotel is very close to the beach and kids love that (and adults too). The rooms are big and very nice, but the a/c is too weak and it wasn't able to cool the room properly. The room cleaning lady did a nice job and the room was always cleaned.
The food was great but the coffe was not very good. The only good coffee was the one served from the inside bar near the reception.

Spent 2 weeks here in September with my family. It was almost end of season so very quiet and not much to do except explore. This was to our liking tho as we wanted a very relaxing holiday. Food was very good and snacks anytime during the day, restaurant staff could have been more friendly and at least acknowledge you. However the room cleaners where smiley and room was cleaned everyday. The bar staff especially Kleo and Pino pretty much made our stay fantastic, so warm and friendly. By the end of our first week we seen them more as friends than staff, we had such a great laugh with them and they are both and absolute credit to the hotel 🙏🏼 There is a local shop just outside the front doors to the hotel, the gentleman in the shop was so friendly and kind, he went out his way to buy stuff that we liked and stocked his shop with it. Please visit this shop if you go on holiday, he will look after you from snacks to getting you a reduced price on a taxi.
