Reviews
TV has no ability to use Netflix or similar.
The cleaning lady refused to give us privacy and came into the room when we asked her not to. That left a sour taste in my mouth, as my girlfriend was sleeping naked at the time.
Great views of the city and it's quiet. No decent public transport connections if you have luggage.
We wouldn't go out of our way to stay here again, however it's not a completely terrible option if you're only staying a night or two and need to be in the area.
The air conditioning didn't work and there was like warm water in the bathroom. No hot water.
If you're here as a tourist there's much better options in the city. I would never stay again.
To top it off, it's now 9:30pm and the hotel is blasting music so loud we can't sleep.
The breakfast line is long and I personally found the offerings just the usual.
Otherwise, a good stay in Santiago.
where to start? so many things going wrong. first of all, the concierge service. between all of them, not a chance of being helped adequately or given any useful advice. i needed help to chase a bus reservation and was bluntly told that they couldn’t call the bus company, as it’s “an external company”. moreover, we were looking for somewhere to eat on christmas eve and they happily sent us to the city centre when actually all restaurants had closed by 18:00. any hostel in santiago would’ve known this information, but not the sheraton staff. i’m really wondering what’s the point of them.
cleanliness in the hotel was terrible. i when sitting down at able near the pool area, i had to ask several times for dirty dishes from previous customers to be taken away. they never cleaned the table and had to do it ourselves.
the food in the restaurant next to the lobby was disgusting. the fries were cold. i had an aubergine strudel that resembled of nothing and tasted really unpleasant. in the other restaurant, el cid, staff are constantly doing the hard sell of the most expensive things on the menu. food was average and the jazzy easy listening music really grating.
the pool itself is not regularly cleaned. the carpet on our floor was not regularly cleaned.
there is clearly a serious management and training issue in this hotel. we couldn’t wait to leave!
the positives are the breakfast and the location near the parque metropolitano. that’s about it.
