Breakfast was good in general with decent local and international spread. There is room for improvement in the bread section though, for example butter should be provided. Direct train service from location to airport puts hotel is good location.

I seldom comment or complain about hotels, but this time I stayed in Chengdu Qinhuang Holiday Hotel for 5 nights which was a bit long and gave me a deep impression of the hotel. I chose this hotel because it was convenient recently due to business reasons. I am an InterContinental member but this time I placed the order on Ctrip because I found that Ctrip Diamond members can enjoy free room upgrade and breakfast, so I did not place the order on the InterContinental APP. I caught a cold on the second night of my stay. The room's heating outlet was actually blowing natural wind, which was a bit chilly. Although the temperature was set to 28 degrees, the outlet was still blowing natural wind after a night. It was just five or six degrees in Chengdu, which was a big drop in temperature in the past few days, but the feeling was the same as minus five or six degrees in the north. I caught a cold just like that. I reported the problem to the front desk. I couldn't get through to the front desk by calling the room landline, and I couldn't get through by calling the mobile phone through Ctrip. Because I was not feeling well, I didn't go downstairs to the front desk until the next day. The front desk said that the phone was muted so it didn't answer. Well, I barely accepted this reason, and then said that the engineering department went to the room to deal with the air conditioning problem. During the afternoon, the hotel manager called to explain that the heating was limited due to the low occupancy rate of the hotel, and it was not open all the time, so... To apologize, a fruit plate was sent. When I returned to the room in the afternoon, I found that the air conditioning problem was still not solved. The waiter actually came with a quilt and asked me to cover it with a quilt. Is this a problem with the quilt? What does the hotel occupancy rate have to do with the guests? I spent a penny of room fee. Can't I enjoy the rights and services I should have? In the following days, I found that the cleaning of the guest room was also perfunctory and not serious. The dirt on the carpet was not ****** up, the stains on the bedside table were not wiped, and the toiletries were not replenished in time. Because when I checked in, I asked to put more bottles of mineral water, but in the following days, some people put more and some only put two bottles. Because of the air conditioning in the hotel, I caught a cold and it got quite severe. I had stayed for 5 consecutive nights and had to extend my stay. I thought I should enjoy some benefits. So I negotiated with the front desk to see if I could get a room with a bathtub so that I could take a hot bath and sweat. The front desk replied that the rooms were fully booked and I could only check out later. Later, I saw on Ctrip that the king-size bed room with a bathtub was still available. Obviously, they were just perfunctory. Well, I was going to stay for a few more days, so I decided to change hotels. The front desk staff laughed at my back after I turned away from the front desk (my colleague saw it and told me the situation). You think I am a **, why should I give you money? To be honest, I am also a senior member of InterContinental Hotels. I have stayed in hotels under its umbrella all over the country. This is the first time I have seen the quality of the front desk staff at Chengdu Qinhuang Holiday Hotel. It really hurts the InterContinental brand. The front desk staff who came in and out of my hotel these days always looked free and undisciplined. There are many hotels around Xibo City. At the beginning, everyone chose to stay because of the InterContinental brand, but I believe that hotels that do not take guests seriously will gradually lose their competitiveness.
