Hostel OT in Split

***DO NOT STAY HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ***

I would give 0 stars if I could.

We stayed here for one night out of the three we had booked as it was that bad, we also arrived in the evening so we had no other alternative.

When we arrived, the area looked more unsafe that it did on Google maps, there were strange people outside the hostel, and there is lots of graffiti around and loud noise.

The reception area is the kitchen that you see on their images, but they have hidden the area where the receptionist sits, however when we arrived the receptionist was very unprofessionally eating.

Room was not as advertised, the bed looked nothing like the pictures on booking.com. There were also holes in the walls and the skirting board. There was no bin, we had one towel for two people, very little toilet paper too. The room was also just above the reception area in a loft, so it was noisy and felt unsafe.

We actually had a look around the rest of it when we were waiting for the receptionist to show up(they didn’t after waiting for a few minutes) the showers are disgusting, the dorm area is downstairs in a basement and it looks so dark. The whole area is also dirty and not so well kept.

The key to the room was hard to work, the Nuki system they used to operate the outside door did not seem to work.

The bed was horrible and uncomfortable, we woke up with itchy skin, it did not look as comfortable as the pictures.

Not sure how there are so many positive reviews for this accommodation, just avoid it as it is absolutely horrible.

My partner and I were disgusted by the whole experience.

Avoid at all cost. It’s super noisy and I had issues with noisy guests not respecting the hostel rules. A lot of things are broken like furniture, doors handles, taps etc. it smells bad as well. Look at these videos which are in reality audio recordings of how bad the noises at night were …

Terrible experience and do not recommend anyone. Very dirty rooms, broken furniture and doors. Very loud at the night. Even no windows and trash cans in rooms. Absolutely disgusting place.

The hostel has bedbugs. Travel to another hostel. There have been a lot of other reviews with bedbugs too, and you are risking getting the bugs in your other accomodation.
The hostel itself is a tiny dorm in a cellar and the kitchen is always dirty.

The most disgusting place, the bathrooms look have never been cleaned and smell vile! The beds have bed bugs, you can feel them crawling on your skin; not to mention seeing one in the bed. Do not go to this place, for what this place is it is not worth the price! It should be shut down.

When talking about rating this place the only good thing we came up with was location and access to a kitchen plus computer. Otherwise it was quite dirty and I think the worst part was that it stank as the rooms were in a cellar with no natural light or actual windows. We had a private room that was definitely not worth the price (50€ a night) - one of the beds was broken and the room was tiny. We felt very misled. It’s a hostel bunkhouse for an interrailing trip but not suitable for a romantic getaway one.

We paid extra money for a double room and they gave us another one. They gave us a room that was a basement with no windows, dirty (we found a shoe box under the bed in which there was a rotten sandwich), with broken furniture and the smell of death. The owner told us that she would call us and compensate us for the inconvenience but she did not. The bathroom was disgusting and the rooms do not have a key, they cannot be locked. In summary, total scam, on top of that, the second night a girl came saying that she had been offered OUR room (which was already occupied), and that, like us, she had overpaid for a double room and in the end she had to go to a bunk, bottom line again, total rip off, DON'T GO.

The so-called "double room" is scam.
It's not a room at all! It's a double bed slapped on a loft directly over the hostel's main room and kitchen!

It's incredibly noisy, there's always people coming and going, cooking, talking, doing their stuff, and you hear anything and smell anything because you are on a loft, not in a proper room.

Plus, there is NO DOOR AT ALL! Anyone can enter your "room" anytime. There's noise until late night. It was horrible! I've been in many bad places but this beats them all.

Tl;dr do not come here unless you want to pay a overpriced loft to not sleep at all.
