Malena is lovely and attentive. Exceptionally clean and a nice bathroom which isn’t always the case in these tiny places. It’s in the place central area and hard to find. Also she has no way to accept payment except cash. I did not pay ******* site ahead of time and had to go to ATM to get cash. This should be stated on the website along with 5 flights of stairs to walk up.

Malena was lovely and accommodated our early check in, and even made us some lemonade! She kindly gave us some recommendations of things to do. The room, while clean, was *really* small - perfect for 1 person, but way too tight for two. The tv was not working. She invited us to use her terrace, which was up a flight of stairs to her space, and featured a pretty view of the bell tower and a lovingly tended garden.
We had some difficulty finding it, and the entrance and stairwell up were decrepit looking - lots of stairs, so not recommended for less able bodied people.

The property is not easy to find. Fortunately, one of the local tour guides inside the palace gave me some directions, and I made the slog up the three or four flights of stairs to the room. The actual location is good, close to all the main sites and places to eat. The room was very clean and comfortable with hardwood floors and a mini-fridge. The best thing about the property is the owner Malena. She is super friendly and helpful and will even do some laundry for you if you ask her. I do have to say though that having to go up and down all those flights of stairs every time you want to go out gets a bit tiring, especially for someone who is as out of shape as I am. This is absolutely not for someone who has any kind of mobility issues. For anyone else, though, who is in halfway decent shape, this is an option well worth considering.

Absolutely wonderful stay in old Split
We absolutely loved our stay. The host was the most friendly, welcoming person and gave us recommendations of things nearby to see. The location is absolutely ideal—right I. The heart of things in the old town so that we could come and go as we explored throughout the day! The room was beautiful, with a view of the cathedral above the neighboring rooftops. The host lest us store our bags for the morning after checking out and she was there to see us off at noon!

I stayed at this hotel as I was planning to stay one night in Split.
You wouldn't know it just by looking at the address, but the hotel is on the top floor of the building and there is no elevator, so if you have a large suitcase you will have to carry it up the stairs yourself.
It might be a good idea to be aware of this.
I also didn't meet any hotel staff on the day of my stay. Instead, I had to make copies of my passport and exchange information in advance, so it might not be suitable for people who don't like that sort of hassle.
The hotel itself was clean and there were no issues staying there.

Comfortable stay in the heart of old town
Amazingly warm and helpful host in this place. :) Staying was comfortable and even though it is located in the heart of the old town, did not hear any noise from the streets. Room was clean and nice.

Lovely, kind host, gave us fresh lemonade and melon on arrival on the beautiful terrace. Stayed here for two nights either side of our trip and both rooms were clean, cool and quiet. V good location in the middle of the bustling old town with a 10 min walk to bus station and ferry port. Would definitely stay here again.
