Zonar Zagreb by Maistra City Vibes in Zagreb

This was our first family trip to Croatia, and due to heavy rain we had to cancel our original plans and stay at this hotel unexpectedly.
Unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations. The room was very dark, even with all lights turned on, making it difficult for our children to read or draw. The lighting system was also quite confusing, with switches controlling multiple lights in different areas, which made it hard to use—especially inconvenient when the lights turned off during a shower.
The bathroom design was impractical, as the shower had no door and water easily spread across the bathroom floor, requiring several towels to manage. Because of the low lighting, dust was also more noticeable, affecting the overall feeling of cleanliness.
The interior design felt outdated, and the hallway had a metallic look that did not feel very welcoming. The room layout was also inconvenient, as the TV could only be comfortably watched while lying on the bed.
In addition, the reception staff appeared distant and not very welcoming. More attentive and friendly communication would greatly improve the guest experience.
Lastly, although the bedding looked clean, the pillow had an unpleasant odor, which was disappointing.
We have stayed in many hotels around the world, and unfortunately this stay stood out for the wrong reasons. We hope the management will consider this feedback to improve the comfort and service for future guests.
