Habitat 16 in Prague

I’m writing this after a good night’s rest in this hostel, so I may be VERY biased.

Long story short, I came to Prague from Brazil to deliver some documents at CZU and decided to book the chepeast hostel I could find. The hostel I book was Capsule Hostel Erbenova, in Prague 5.

While getting there, we noticed that the capsules were uncomfortable and the temperature was very elevated (have in mind I’m writing this on the first week of december, so the city itself is cold).

In amy case, first day was very very hot in the calsule and during the second day I asked owner to turn the AC. He said it was not possible and that I should solve it myself. He would only do something if I talked to everyone else in the room and then he would maybe send a technician (to simply turn on the AC, which he leaves no remote to).

In any case, we were very stressed by this, but then again it’s fine. For the price, we cannot expect much - although a little respect would’ve gone a long way.

Mocinf forward, after spending the second day walking around the city we decided to refurn to Erbenova only to find out somebody had stole our foor from the fridge. Furthermore, the room was hot and capsule was unbearable to stay in so we just looked for another accomodation avilable promptly

This is where Habitat 16 saved our lifes. I found it at Booking.com and read the reviews After that I called the owner and explained my situation, to which he guaranteed that in his hostel I would not face such problems.

When we got here, we only had pleasant surprises. There were maps in the bed either turistic and other useful information. The bathroom had heated floors and there was even a bathtub for relaxation.

The beds were SUPER confortable and even though the hostel is in a clearly residential area, we can only praise the silence and quietness during the night. Alongside this, I would also describe that the rooms are literally a hotel experience room with a hostel price.

After we arrived, there was even a problem with the payment link the owner sent and he was lovely about it, assurng me there was no reason for concern and he would come here tomorrow to meet me face to face and use a payment terminal.

Truly, it feels like home. Like if a friend is receiving you in his house.

In the end, I can only thank the owner for the brilliant service. I have travelled to a lot of places in the world and I can honestly say this is the best service I have ever had. It seems like exaggeration, but given my situation, this guy saved my stay in Prague without a doubt.

Nice hotel, a bit of a weird experience as the hotel is in the middle of a suburban neighbourhood. Self check-in, so no reception, but the owner was well reachable via chat options. The rooms were clean and large, but a bit dated. Location is okay as it is in the city borders, but expect a 15 minute walk to the nearest metro line. Overall a good experience, but only for a few days.

Very clever idea and charming property - house turned into a hotel. Rooms very cozy and well equipped, floor heating in the bathroom was a bonus. No physical reception but there was no need for it as everything was accessible via personal code or chip. Also possible to use kitchen utensils and garden.

Definitely money the value. indeed, it is not in the center, but public transportation is close as well Lidl and a good restaurante
I have read some comments and it is a high and tiny stairs which you have to use, but for a normal person it is totaly fine (we were on the top floor so I am talking about experience)
There are some extras as well (sanitaries, towels, sewing kit etc) which make your staying comfortable.
As for the communication, it is perfect, however you do not meet the host, but they kindly reply to your message and solve anything.
The only negativ thing is the noisy bed

Cozy and affordable hotel in a peaceful neighborhood. Friendly staff!

Wonderful small cozy place in a great quite location. It's a bit far from all the hustle and bustle of the center and i prefer such places. The room was not too big but had all the facilities and amenities (hangers, pressing iron, hair dryer, shower gel, soaps etc.) There was also hot kettle, some tea and honey etc. The bed was really comfortable and clean. A common kitchen and a small garden/lawn at rear completed what this facility had to offer.

We found parking easy on the street and facility administrator helped us book it in advance before our arrival against a reasonable payment of around 3.9 euro per day. The checkin process was easy as it is contactless and all you gotta do is enter the access code which unlocks main door and your own room door.

We did find the stairs a bit steep and tricky in the building. Also there is no lift presumably in the building so those who struggle with stairs - watch out before booking as this place may not be for you. The locality is also serene and calm, just not any major supermarkets in immediate viccinity. But i would definitely choose this place again if i visit Prague again. The price we paid and service we got was very satisfactory and I'd give 10/10 to staying experience here.

The BEST place to stay when you are in Prague !!! I was there once and wanted to come back again but they did not have any rooms available. Had to book somewhere else in Prague 1 (it was much more expensive but not as good as Habitat)

Best place !

Had a nice stay here. The room is small but cosy and clean. You get a common kitchen with your own compartment in the fridge, a terrace and a small garden. Everything’s automated with codes and chip keys. The usual amenities are provided, along with free wi-fi, information sheets and maps to Prague. Parking is free in nearby public parking spaces. We requested for a baby cot, it’s an extra €3 per night. The owner is very nice and friendly.

Great place, you won't be disappointed!

great hotel. all is on password. no reception. There is cloth iron, bath tub, kettle, tv. You have common fridge and kitchen. All well described with labels :)
