Hotel Museum in Prague

Arrival, location and check in:
It is quite close to the green subway line "A" which has 3 entrances nearby. Locationwise it is really great.

Entrance to the hotel is via Code to enter or the concierge pressing a button. When we arrived it was a patient blonde woman who welcomed us with a smile, gentle words and expected service.

Her replacement failed in that and we immediatly ran into technical problems which she did not solved.

The hotel:
it doesnt look much from the outside, but it is ok to nice inside. The entry is quite a good portioned room. Nothing to fance but also quite comfortable for its purpose. Right beside it is the breakfast room, which is somewhat small, but as the hotel has only a couple of rooms its enough.

A small garden leads to the rooms, and this is quite nice and especially in spring and summer i can imagine it to be a nice place to get a rest. During our stay it was mainly used by smokers or small gatherings of guests.

We did not see the rest beside of the 2 steps to our room and our room itself.

The room:
When we entered we found it nice and fitting. A two part double bed right beside the entry door, cupboards, a TV and in a seperated small room a couch with the door to our bathroom. All tight and clean and our windows showing us the garden right in front of them.
So we felt good about it - and still do about the rooms and the hotel overall.
What we did not expect is: our room was the center of everything moving around it and we had to hear it all. Everyone who came in the portion of the hotel where the rooms lay had to pass by the entry door - which was right behind the wall of our room with our bed - so our heads lay beside the usually autoshutting door - which often ment "slamming". Few guests were so nice to shut it quietly.
Every guest going to their rooms passed our entry door - but still, that werent that much people and maybe half of them where so nice not to make much noise.
But it added up - because the underground is below these buildings and so we heared the subways driving sounds all the other minuts. My wife was able to blend it out - i managed to do so on day 3.
The refrigerator close to the bed started to hum every 2 to 3 hours for around 15-30 minuts to - so, i learned to appreciate the moments when everything was quiet.

The beds looked nice and they were really clean and made up well. So, it is not the hotels fault, but we both found them way to soft to sleep comfortable in them. First night i tryied to sleep on the couch without extending it (if thats possible), but that did not work out for me as well.

The bathroom was nice and clean with fresh towels for us every day.
It was what expected and needed to the fullest.
The shower was sensitive to get on the right temperature, but thats the only negative point and it was easier if we dont used the overhead but the hand showerhead.

Services:
Some gentle and welcoming, others short cut and work focused.
Rooms always cleaned and made, as well as breakfast prepared and a good ammount of choices of all sorts.
3 out of 4 days WiFi internet-failed.
Check out in the morning was somewhat troublesome, as we need to find personal for it.

Overall:
Nice Hotel and garden, Breakfast is good.
Nice looking room in golden location.
The sleep deprevation we suffered and the lack of availability causing a more negative impression though the hotel is nice and all you need is there.
If again we would book a room upstairs and out the garden, not expecting to much interaction with the staff.

Location is key! And thanks to all nice staffers.

The only plus of the hotel is the location, everything else is cons: Internet works barely, Soviet times, Breakfast without joy.
