Reviews
The room conditions were shocking:
Bathroom and toilet were extremely dirty with hair and dirt
Broken toilet that was unhygienic to use
No basic amenities (soap, shower gel) despite being advertised
Blood stains on bed linens
Broken chair and non-functioning refrigerator
Communication was extremely difficult as reception closes at 8 PM (not disclosed at booking) and staff couldn't speak English. They refused to provide a second key for my travel mate without explanation.
The situation became hostile when a staff member entered my room uninvited, accused me of deliberately damaging the room, and became confrontational. This was completely unprofessional and made us feel unsafe.
To make matters worse, I was overcharged. The platform showed €315, but I was charged €339 plus additional fees, with no explanation provided.
Save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere. This property fails to meet basic hospitality standards in terms of cleanliness, service, and professionalism. What should have been a nice New Year's vacation turned into a stressful and unpleasant experience.
One window was missing, the radiator was not working properly and a sound came from it all night long, the room was extremely dirty, the pillow was not comfortable at all. The hair dryer was never cleaned as shown at the photos. Keep in mind that the photos are from the exact same room they had at the advertisement!!!
That kind of places, create bad reputation for a tourist destination!
There is no towel in the bathroom. The bathroom is also not well maintained but clean in overall.
Hotel is good for one or two night stay if you are not about to spend too much time in it anyway.
The breakfast is rather average. Don´t expect luxurious experience with this hotel but it will do the job!
There isn't 24 hour front desk service, but the staff at this hotel was wonderful, very polite, and very helpful. They were very understanding the next day when we told them we left in the middle of the night. The location is great.
We tried to make the check-in but the woman in the reception didn’t speak English. When I told her I didn’t understand her language she became VERY AGGRESSIVE SHOUTING, making signs pointing to a peace of paper what I could conclude that we should have to come back more than one hour later when someone who speaks English would be there. Even with this unpleasant lady yelling in her language and making language signs we tried to continue the check-in but when we gave our credit card for payment she refused because they ONLY ACCEPT CASH!!!
How is it possible that in 2021/22 a HOTEL in a extremely tourist city as Prague only accept cash and the staff don’t speak English???
After a walk to the closest atm and back with cash and waited for the English speaking person. The young man showed up and started to act as translator between us and the unpleasant lady and we could finally finish the check in.
Luckily I was there for just one night but It was without a doubt the worst customer service I have ever received at a hotel. I was never treated in such DISRESPECTFUL way in a hotel in my life.
To wrap this up, the squeaky bed, the broken shower holder, the lack of shampoo, and not even a glass to drink from made the experience even worse.
The hotel is very old and simple but it would be OK if they treat customer respectfully and they have a low price. We paid 154 euros for one night!!! I still can’t believe that this whole thing happened!
