Majestic Villa in the classical style appeared in 1872, and in 2006 was completely renovated and turned into a luxury hotel where modern facilities are combined with the carefully preserved charm of living history.

Location: in the centre of Karlovy vary, on the Bank of the river teplá, close to the gardens of Dvorak, a 5-minute walk from the colonnades with mineral springs and 10 km from the airport of Karlovy vary.

We had a negative experience checking out of the hotel today. We asked receptionist Irina to print a document, but she rudely refused. It's a shame my husband and I have to write a negative review, but hotel management needs to know that rudeness from the receptionist is unacceptable. Irina was rude and ruined our experience and mood, while the other staff members worked so hard to make our stay comfortable.

Great price for what you get. You are close to the water sources and also the view is quite nice. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms impecable and shampoo smelled nice. I would definitely recommend.

My stay at this hotel was, without exaggeration, one of the most unpleasant travel experiences I have ever had. From start to finish, everything was absolutely horrible.

The service was beyond disappointing — the staff were not only rude, but also completely incompetent. They seemed unable or unwilling to assist with even the most basic requests. To make matters worse, they booked massages and procedures without asking or informing us beforehand, and when these caused scheduling conflicts or confusion, they offered no assistance whatsoever.

Communication was virtually impossible, as the staff could not speak English, German, or Russian. This language barrier was not merely inconvenient — it made resolving even simple matters unnecessarily frustrating.

The rooms themselves were in unacceptable condition: dirty, poorly maintained, and clearly not cleaned to a standard suitable for guests. In German, one would call them eine Zumutung — in English, an imposition that no paying guest should be expected to tolerate.

Everything in the hotel felt chaotic and disorganized, as if there was no management or structure in place at all. I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone. There are far better options elsewhere, and I strongly advise travelers to avoid this property entirely.

Great hotel!
Amazing place close to town, delicious breakast and nice staff. Went quickly to the hot tub and pool and its a nice feature to have! They have a nice patio to wnjoy youre coffee or drink!

It's a very nice hotel, and the location is great. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The massages were amazing, and the wellness area was also fantastic. All in all, a fantastic short break, and I highly recommend the hotel.

The only downside was the mattress in the room, which was quite saggy. Nevertheless, we would come back!

The breakfast was super affordable. I've never had ********* guests before. They mistook me for Chinese and even asked for a visa. 🙄 Just checking in wasted a ton of time. I'm so lucky... The service at the counter and in the swimming pool wasn't very good in English.

This hotel is within walking distance of the city center. Loket Castle is a great place to cycle. The staff is friendly. Breakfast was okay. There is parking, but it's very cramped. The pool is small but nice. To get to the whirlpool, you have to climb a steep ladder. We didn't use the sauna. We stayed there for three nights. Our room wasn't cleaned, but we did provide new towels.

Nice hotel but terrible management.
The hotel is quite nice, but the management is terrible and unkind (details later in the comment).
We booked our stay as a family trip for three, two adults and a toddler (2 years old). The stay was nice, although the hotel wellness area was a bit outdated. The bubble bath mosaic tiles were crumbling and the steam sauna did not work properly, it heated up too much and did not generate enough steam. The breakfast buffet was OK, the dinner buffet was too plain for 450 CZK/per person. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was nice and the bathroom was clean. The shower pressure was quite intense, which I like, but some might find too much.
Why I say that the management is terrible? When I booked my trip via hotels dot com, I paid with a debit card and got the message that my card paymend didn't go through. I then atlered the booking so that I would pay for it onsite. They have some kind of online check in system called Alfred, I did the check in via that system and paid through that. Later it turns out I had made 2 bookings and paid for both. They however say it is my own fault and they kept the money. I offered to use other services for the money (restaurant, spa, bar, etc), but they declined that too. It's not that I did not show up - I arrived and I used one room. I should have slept in the second room too. They are willing to keep my money for an honest mistake (which I feel lies more on hotels dot com side than mine) and therefore I hope that they get what they deserve.

The room was ok. It was spacious. But connected room was noisy.

唔好住呢間酒店，枕頭超薄，2手床褥咁
個升盤塞既，空氣唔流通。唔好過夜。

The hotel is very old & already out of standard its worse than the hostel. Excluding the facilities.

Photos shown are totally different from the reality.

TV size is smaller then my notebook.
When you are lying on bed I'm sure you can't enjoy at all.

Swimming pool or Spa facilities opening time at 13:00 to 20:30 what the xxxxx?!

Inside the room there are no freah air.
Window or balcony have to be opened during the rainy day.
The bed is like second hand bed, the pillow is bad.

Also in the morning, the chief in omelets section is avoiding to cook...

Witnessed a altercation between some Asian tourists and hotel staff at breakfast. The hotel staff shouted at the tourist who tried to open the door to restaurant as they were apparently early and breakfast wasn't ready... Was shocked at the rudeness of the staff but also the shouting match so early in the morning. Sure woke me up even without caffeine! Don't think I'd stay here again despite it's great location. Many other hotels in Karlovy Vary.
